The blackwalls look wrong on this car. Thunderbird was a sporty image car and should have appropriate whitewalls to highlight that fact. One of the best clean under the hood condition cars seen on here in quite a while.

Stroudsburg PA is just next door to NJ in the Delaware Water Gap area so a NJ tag wouldn’t be unreasonable to see on a car in that area. My wife is a graduate of nearby East Stroudsburg University.

Tried to enhance the orig picture

We have 50 states and the US constitution gives jurisdiction to each state to make the rules governing the process of determining how to record ownership and transfer ownership of vehicles in the state. There is a National database for stolen vehicles but that is only part of the process. To paraphrase an old Paul Simon song, “ there must be 50 ways to get a title”.

A little more fiddling

You might want to see if you have a camera setting for close up pictures to improve the focus. It’s kind of like being on a crime scene tv show and decoding the clues.

Big trucks like this have a limited market. Having a storage place big enough to hold it is often a dealbreaker for many. Even in California dollars, that price seems too high.

Not being a model T guy, is that floor shifter some type of modification or non model t transmission.

No space to put bodies in the trunk of that one! Great looking car.

We used to call these Mustangs “secretary cars” since so many women seemed to own them. This ad seems to support that call!

I hear Simple Green works good on loosening grease and dirt buildup. The Mack truck, being built like a Mack truck, would laugh at a pressure washer. I raced off road motorcycles for many years and avoided using pressure washers as they put water in places that were harmful to the suspension bearings and other bits and pieces. Lots of garden hose time got the bike clean.

The car looks good on its own merits, the badges don’t really add much given 20 years have passed since they were awarded. If anything, it shows the car has had good care over that time.

There must be a bag with gold coins in the back seat to justify the price. I’ve always liked these Lincolns but I must be one of only a few since they don’t seem to have much of a following.

Electric power steering conversion? Read about it but don’t know anyone who has installed it.

A 1960s episode of Perry Mason featured a Detroit Electric car driven by an elderly lady. Maybe the same car?

What size rim, 15” or 16”? Chrysler didn’t have factory power steering until the early 1950s, I think maybe 1953. Correction-1951.
