Finally was able to check on your speedometer question. Unfortunately I could not find any speedometer information on your Pontiac.

That’s close Jim, the Testors bottles are only 0.25oz so it’s 344.32 x 4 = $1377.28 a gallon plus tax.

That picture was taken from a late 1920s auto parts catalog I had and was selling in this forum. The catalog sold quickly and I no longer have it. I’ll check some of the few reference books I have left for speedometer information. If I find anything I’ll post it.

Alcohol was used as an antifreeze so it might be a coolant flow control for an early car?

Back to the auction today in PA. From the listing for the Cartercar
2. 1912 Carter Car - 30 HP 5 passenger touring. The car utilized a friction drive system to get power to the rear wheels. Other manufacturers tried the same system. They all experienced the same failure in this operation. A major wear of the drive disc was the inability to transmit torque. The owner of this car, being a qualified machinist/mechanic, converted the car to a standard clutch and transmission. It is now a very reliable tour proven brass era car to be driven and shown. It is equipped with correct brass lamps, brake/headlights, interior diamond tuft leather. It has beautiful exterior lines, everything you would want in a brass car era.

Waaay back in 1989 my new Swedish Husqvarna 390cc Enduro motorcycle equipped with headlight and tail light for highway use came with a factory installed yellow tinted sealed beam headlight. I changed it out a standard white headlight to be US legal. I guess Europe was ok with the yellow tint.

I saw on the local news station Spring Carlisle is in full swing. The local (young) news reporter was seated in a 1920 Model T in the under cover cars for sale area. He said he had no idea on how to drive the Model T but he did learn how to blow the horn.
So the question is, are you going or have you been there and have information about it to share. -

Are you sure about the model number? Fargo trucks I’m finding have a letter after the F designation.

Is it a panel truck or one that was a cab and chassis and had a delivery box added? That information would be helpful. The DIVCO trucks had a single seat that allowed the delivery driver to enter and exit easier from either side of the truck. Pictures of course would be greatly appreciated.

It was one of those Facebook Market finds, a whole bunch of newer car emblem take offs for $XX dollars and I bought them. The attached picture shows a group of Cadillac emblems in the lot. If you know the year I would appreciate it. The buy includes Chevy, Ford, Saab, Mazda, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and some ??. Most all in the lot are glue on. Some are NOS too. One thing I’m finding is there are sure a lot of EX, SE, GS, LS designations used to describe cars!

Another 1929 Model A Ford roadster pickup, this one in Ephrata PA. The name on the side was a repair garage and new and used auto parts store in Ephrata. I believe the owner died a while back. Looks ok but too much dust to tell for sure.
