  1. A beautiful vintage Chevrolet Suburban in this commercial... enjoy.
  2. Groups from the 60's and 70's..... from Led Zeppelin to Southern Rock..... I can't stand the crap that my kids listen to.. Here's a good southern group:
  3. Bill - you really have some nice classics....what year is that Pontiac ?
  4. Very nice gesture Steve.... maybe put the story in the next edition of the Antique Automobile, you might get a larger pool of possible candidates ! Steve
  5. The 455 must be a rare option, a friend of mine at work had a powder blue / white interior Olds with a small block. Steve
  6. Steve - was your Olds restored or is it original ? Big Block engine ? It's a beauty ! Steve
  7. My garages are unorganized at the moment. Due to renovation work on the house / breezeway, I had to turned my two car detached garage into a three car garage. The garage attached to the house is currently a catchall for all the building supplies and my '69 Chevy Truck. The detached holds my two 1969 Impalas and my 1986 Monte Carlo...the upstairs has all the nos parts for the '69 Impala SS restoration. Steve
  8. Hey Steve, is that you standing to the right of the photo, wearing the white shoes and sunglasses ?
  9. In my case, this was a "bucket list" item. I've always wanted a SS model for 1969, never really seen any around my home town and once I got involve with some clubs and talking with those members, I was able to locate this one. The top picture is from the Fall of 2014 when I took delivery of the SS, a real SS with documentation and the last picture is from a few years ago. Family and house projects over the years have taken priority over the restoration but it will eventually get done. The prices of parts ( sheet metal, exterior trim, interior headliner / carpet etc.) have all skyrocketed , I'm glad that I purchased most of the needed items years ago. To save money, I've been doing most of the work myself, there was one area that needed welding,( I have no experience with ) so I turned to the professionals and that was the rear quarter panels / trunk extensions / wheel wells that needed patch work and fabrication ( thanks to Jeff ).
  10. Just a follow up... I purchase extra desiccant bags to place in the van and I tried the vinegar and water solution a few days ago..... as of today the mold is gone, no signs of it! I appreciate the input, Steve
  11. Amazing work, I just looked backed at your first post in 2016... you have accomplished a lot Chris, can't wait to see the completion ! Steve
  12. My AACA badge holder arrived yesterday in the mail, so I made it official today ! Thanks ! Steve
  13. That I'm not sure about.... it's a detached garage that was built in 2008.....I would have to look back at the photos while it was being built ( but I'm thinking just gravel and the metal screen ) prior to the concrete being poured.
  14. When I put my few cars away for the winter months, I normally put sta-bil in the the tank and run the engine, disconnect the battery and cover it. I also put desiccant bags in the trunk and passenger area. I wanted to know if the windows should be closed or should I leave them slightly open ( inch ) and should I have a box fan on to circulate the air flow? My garage floor is cement, I thought I remember reading somewhere about the air being circulated ? Thanks ! Steve
  15. 1930 ? picture of Bear Mt. Bridge, facing East. The bridge is located north of NYC, crossing the Hudson River. Just north of the bridge is the West Point Military Academy.
  16. Great News ! I did a "Wanted" ad over on the Facebook site " GM/CHEVROLET MEMORABILIA COLLECTORS-BUY/SELL/SHOW".... Within a few hrs, one of the site members listed that he had one for sale....done deal ! This will look great on the wall next to my '86 SS Monte Carlo ! Steve
