  1. oh yes for sure.. Sunday morning early... coffee and kick some tires at the bagel shop. good turn out today. Took out the 30 five window ford and ran it up I-95 to blow it out.
  2. I JUST REBUILT THE ZENITH CARB ON MY INTERNATIONAL T340 TRACKLOADER. THE TWO TIMES I HAD PULLED IT OFF THE ENGINE WERE PRE E-FUEL. THE DIFFERENCE IN THE CORROSION FROM THEN TO NOW WAS STAGGERING. THE CAST IRON FLOAT BOWL AND THE ALUMINUM VENTURI SLEEVE HAD GALVANIC ACTION FOR THE PERFECT STORM. ALL THE O-RINGS WERE DISINTEGRATED AND EVEN THE BRASS FLOATS WERE ETCHED. SO GUESS WHAT? IT'S NON E FOR ME. WANT TO SCREW UP YOUR BOAT FUEL SYSTEM, JUST FLIP IN SOME E-10 I PUT SOME 2 CYCLE OIL IN WITH ANYTHING AGRICULTURAL THAT GETS SOME E 10 IN IT. NOTHING POLITICAL ABOUT THAT !
  3. the pics don't show it but the paint is really toast
  4. sorry guys i'm just learning how to work this forum. it is really great but i have a long way to go. thanks for the patience!
  5. one more thing. where can i find a pitman arm for the 29 model 65. even if it has been cut off short it will work fo rme. looks like the p/n starts with F182.....1-2. if iget the splined end of the pitman arm , it will do the job . welding and machining i order. thanks.
  6. ok guys, the coupe is in the garage and it is a model 65. and it has a beefed up 350 with a powerglide tranny. for a front end it has recieved an econoline straight axle and it has a dana rear-end. it appears the body and frame were in rather good shape when the project was done in the early 80's. and still are pretty fair. forget the fedco tag... it has been sanded almost smooth.... and the car was assigned a number that has been in use for over twenty years. so history may be a mystery. the rumble hatch is cobbed up and needs full replace or some clever sheet metal. windows still crank and the doors don't have much sag to them. back glass crank is in need of some attention but the handle is there. so i'm working on the steering geometry for the frontend matchup which was really cobbled . no steering til you hit 35 mph . got it all set with a mock-up that gets me from limit to limit on still turns on dry pavement and not moving! i'll pull the fender tomorrw so as to keep me off the floor for a while so i can get everything deads nuts safe. then on to the brake lines and wheel cylinders. and from there to all the hoses and belts. at this point we'll see what the future is for this baby. with the hood closed up, it looks like grandpa out for a spin. hit the fuel and yer lookin at grandpa's dust. thanks for the interest. my fords are getting nervous.
  7. the coupe is in transport right now. i am sure it is a 65. and a lot of changes have been made to the drive train. i'll add to this thread when it arrives. thanks for the interest.
  8. thanks for the input. my coupe has a rumble seat. But i still can't seem to find a reference to the "model 20". any chance that is an error?

  11. OK .. ANOTHER NEWBIE HERE. I HAVE NOT FIGURED OUT WHY BUT I JUST SEALED A DEAL ON A 29 FIVE WINDOW CHRYSLER COUPE. DON'T BEAT ME TOO BAD BUT IT HAS BEEN RODDED OUT A BIT.. ENGINE AND TRANNY WISE. NOT CHOPPED . IT IS LISTED ON THE REGISTRATION AS A "MODEL 20 " BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO MAKE THAT MODEL WORK EXCEPT ON A HUDSON. ANY HELP OUT THERE?
