  1. Either way it’s messed up. I would think this is from a mold so how would it happen?
  2. The whole word is spelled backwards. HSAN
  3. I have a Nash #2 open end wrench. A common wrench but this one is different. See the pics and let me know if anyone has any insight as to what may have happened. Has anyone ever seen another like it? I've had this for years and never noticed until someone pointed it out to me at Dragone's meet last week. Funny how the eyes and mind play tricks on you.
  4. I’m going down. Will be setting up as a vendor. Hoping for a good day.
  5. Try shutting the vacuum tank off and just run with what gas is in the carb bowl.
  6. I’m no carb guru but I’ll put in my 2 cents. Are you sure the needle valve is seating ok? How open is the idle screw? Start with 1 1/2 turns and work up from there. Good luck.
  7. I recently rebuilt all 4 of my 25 DB latches for the same reason. I didn't grind any rivets off. The latch has a seam running down it and I used a thin chisel to pry it open slightly at the bottom. This allowed the small flat washer used to hold the spring in to slip out and then the spring and shaft can come out. Don't over stretch the seam. I hope the pics help. The flat washer is smaller than the one shown and there is a pin in the upper ent which isn't shown in my pic. After reassembly I gently squeezed the bottom in a vise with the seam toward the jaw and it closed up nicely. I found springs that matched for size and tension at Ace Hardware. The first pic is my restored latches. The other 2 are from some spares that I have. Good luck. Jay
  8. I did that repeatedly too. I do plan on using an anti sieze when I reassemble. Thanks Matt
  9. Good news. I finally got the center rod out. It wasn't budging so it stayed soaking until finally today I got some movement when hitting the end with a brass hammer. Did a little back and forth with the hammer then used a punch to drive it out one end. Then I used the drill. Needless to say I will be investing in a new rod (probably stainless) as this one is pretty pitted and worn at the ends. Thanks for all the input.
  10. I will try the drill once I get Otto move. Thanks
  11. Thanks for the response. I started with PB Blaster for a few weeks then went to the acid. I’ll keep soaking and tapping the ends with a brass hammer until it frees up.
  12. I'm trying to get the center rod out of the top hood sections of my 25 DB Roadster. I uncrimped the ends and have been soaking it in phosphoric acid for a while now. One side moves freely (as it always did) but the rod seems stuck to the hinges on the other side. Am I missing something? Anyone else taken the top hood sections apart? Thanks!!
  13. I was planning on going today for the swap meet but figured the rain and cold will deter most vendors. I love Rhinebeck but not this year.
  14. I still have these headlights. Open to reasonable offers.
  15. I got your PM. Let me know what you want for shipping and I’ll send you payment. Jay
  16. Early 31’s had 2 bar. Later 31’s transitioned to singles. Not sure what chassis number is the cutover.
  17. I’m glad everything worked out. I hope USPS takes care of you. Jay
  18. I stand corrected. It is a T. Never realized the T fenders we’re so similar the DB fenders.
  19. Elliptical front spring is Ford but those front fenders look DB. Hmm
  20. The car in the foreground looks like mid 20’s Dodge Brothers.
  21. Brian - Package is on its' way to you. Check your PM's for tracking info. Jay
