  1. Sorry. I meant to include measurements. I don’t think it’s Buick as the ends wrap around for 5”. The bar is 4” and the overall length is 62”
  2. I have a bumper that I got with my 1931 Buick. I'm trying to determine what it is from so I can sell it. It appears to be 1932 but I haven't been able to pinpoint the vehicle it goes on. Anyone know? Thanks, Jay
  3. The rod to the heat riser comes off the Spark control rod at the base of the steering column.
  4. Here are some pics from my 1931 96. Let me know if you need others. Jay
  5. The issue with Paypal starting this year is you will receive a 1099 for all money received after $600. That means the “hobbiest” would need to keep records of what he paid for items, how much was for shipping and how much for fees so that he can declare profit to the IRS to pay taxes. How many of us who sell the occasional parts to subsidize our addiction want to do this? What about the parts you sell from a “lot” that you bought because you needed one part in it? Friends and family payments don’t get reported for 1099 but aren’t intended to be used for purchases. Pay by check or USPS money order. Sellers can wait for the check to clear before shipping.
  6. Yes. The engine is sold. Thanks!!
  7. Isn't this what this hobby is about? Hands on enjoyment.
  8. Dave - I will keep you in mind if it comes down to parting it out. Thanks, Jay
  9. Thanks. A lot of lookers but no takers yet.
  10. 1927 Dodge Brothers "C" type Motor for sale. This is a 95% complete motor that was removed from a 1927 Business Sedan. It had 46,000 miles on it and had been parked since 1946. The car was A780819 which puts it built in Sept of 1926. The engine number is C852-528. I believe these were 5 main motors. As you can see in the pics it has everything with the exception of the starter. It includes everything you see right down to the steering spark and throttle rods and gas rod. Unfortunately the exhaust manifold has a big chunk missing at the rear. This motor turns over with no problem and shows no signs of cracks in the head or block. I'd like to sell it as you see it and not break it up if possible. It's located in CT. $500
  11. No. The 60 has water return holes for a return pipe mounted on top while the 50 doesn’t. I’m sure there are other differences too.
  12. Check the passenger side frame just behind the front wheel. That’s were the chassis serial number is on US built Buicks. The tag on the firewall designates the body style.
  13. Larry - I hope this will help. I just picked up a 32 344 with the head off. There are 20 bolts all the same size. 5 1/2" from bottom of head to end. Then there are 2 corner studs near the water jackets that measure 5 1/4 from the top of the head to the end. Here's some pics. Jay
  14. Looks Dodge Brothers to me. The little bump out in front of the fender is where the shackle grease fitting is DB’s up to 1923 had that.
  15. Or look up the paint spec sheet online and it should give you that info
  16. I have a 27 box. Don’t know if that will work on a 15.
  17. The horn is sold. I have this horn listed in the Parts for Sale forum.
  18. The horn is sold. I'm selling a very rare Model A Ford Ahooga horn. It is a GMI horn with FORD script embossed in the cover. According to the judging standards this horn only appeared for 3 months in mid 1928. Then the script was removed and GMI continued to supply horns to Ford. The horn works. It was tested using a 6v battery charger. It is complete down to the mounting bracket. Original paint is nice but not perfect. There are 2 tiny dings in the bell just before the flare. $300 plus shipping
