will do! I'd like to e-mail it to you. Do you want a copy of the brochure too?

When I bought my '67, in the glove box, beside the owners manual, were the protecto-plate and booklet/ the computer card that I think they threw under the rear seat that had something to do with the options the car was to get as it was built/a brochure , foldout 2 or 3 colors on thick stock, that decsribed what goodies the dealer could install after market. Very cool- shows everything from compass- rear speaker- remote pass side mirror- and a little desk that the business man could write notes on as he hurtled down the road. If anyone is interested I could try to copy and upload (when I figure out how to do it) or I could mail it to anyone who wants.

thanx for the help Mike; the size of the pix that I successfuly uploaded are 3072 x 2304 x 24 b, jpeg. One was 2 mb, one was 1.8, and one was 1.6 mb. The size of the ones I can't upload are identical- taken w/ same camera, same day. They are on my computer, in a file.

67 Riv w/ a/c, not automatic climate control; after buying a new "control head" as the mechanic said, I saw a kinked vacuum line. The day before I was to take it in, I spliced a new section of line, and after we pumped it up w/ Freon I think it's working well.
Question; the fan has 4 speeds and it seems that the compressor engages in only 2 out of the 4 positions. Also, is it normal to get a better volume of air while the setting is "NORM" as opposed to "MAX"?
Do you think I need a new fan relay? A new switch for the fan, in the control head? Or something else?

Thanx guys/ since the wood itself looks ok maybe I'll try to re-finish. The coating or shellac or whatever is about 50% worn off. I just want to know what the original color looks like. I can stain it- but don't want to go too dark, as it's easier to darken than to lighten.
Will keep you guys posted- maybe I'll post pix .

PS thanx for your quick reply, and I look forward to learning from guys like you!

I would prefer buying new wood but the only years they seem to be reproducing them is first generation Riv's. I think the wood is walnut; maybe I'll look at someone's original interior, then get some stain.

Am new to the Riv Club/ bought 67 Riv and so far it's a pleasure to work on and drive- better than previous car- 76 Eldo convertible. Any thoughts on how to re-finish the wood inserts on the console?
