  1. Thanks Ed. Disappointed but not surprised. - John
  2. I am trying to find out if the rear ends are interchangable between a 1965 and 1968 Riviera. I am specifically wondering about the mounting brackets. In other words, could I take a rear end from a 1968 Rivi and bolt it onto my 1965 without any issues? Thanks for the help.
  3. Does anyone know of a good source for a reproduction dash pad and rear shelf (below rear window) for a 1965 riviera?
  4. Thank you for the Tip. Sent mine to rare parts to be refurbished. Will have it back in a couple of weeks, great service.
  5. Does anyone know who makes a close ratio steering box for a 1965 Riviera that is a direct bolt in application? I just purchased one from AGR but the holes don't line up and it's not a direct bolt in. Any advice would be appreciated as always. Continually amazed at how much knowledge is out there. Thanks, - John
  6. I am looking for a rebuilt Drag Link for the front end of a 1965 Buick Riviera. Mine is shot and I am rebuilding the entire front end and need a good one to put back on. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, - John
  7. I want to replace and upgrade all of the bushings on the front end of my '65 Riviera. Does anyone know a good source for upgraded uretane bushings? Thanks, - John
  8. I have a '65 riviera with a 401 nailhead and auto tranmission. I am considering converting it to a manual transmission using the bendtsen's adapter kit. Does anyone know if the '65 401 would have the pilot bearing hole in the crankshaft even on cars with automatics? Thanks,
  9. I am live in California and I am a relatively new owner of a 1965 Riviera with a 401 and a T400 transmission. I want to do an engine swap with a GM LS motor. I don't want to get into the whys and what fors (that thread could take on a life of it's own). I am wondering if there is a market out there for a good used 401/T400 package. I would like to find a good home for them as they are way too good to scrap or sit in a corner of the garage but I am not even sure what they would be worth. The engine has about 14000 miles on the rebuild and I am not certain if the transmission has been rebuilt or not. It does have a new pan and I can say that the tranmission shifts really well and in fact the whole package operates very nicely. They are still in my car at this time.
  10. Try Tim at Rivicentral. His e-mail is elco1979@yahoo.com. He is in Sacramento and I have been to his place. I am sure he has what you are looking for. Good luck!
  11. Thanks everybody. The help I received was perfect and I now have it all wired up. I really appreciate the forum, everyone has been so helpful. Have a great weekend! - John
  12. I purchased a '65 Riviera and the previous owner had installed an aftermarket stereo. I am trying to re-install the original sonomatic radio and I am unsure how to wire it up. There are a total of 4 connectors that I have found. The first one has a yellow wire and I think this connector goes into the back of the stereo and it includes the hot wire (yellow) plus black and green wires which go up to the dash speaker The other three connectors are all connected. Two connectors are connected by two common black wires with one connector includes a green wire and the other connector including a white wire which run to a 3rd smaller connector. Then a white wire runs from the smaller connector to behind the dash. I don't know where any of these connectors go and I also don't know how the rear speaker is wired in. Can anyone help? I have looked through my book but the wiring diagram does not get that specific. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  13. Here are some pics. let me know if you are interested. The black sleeve has a hair line crack which could easily be smoothed out with epoxy. I have taken a close-up picture of it so you can see. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks,
  14. I purchased it and was assured by a very reputable seller that it was all in good working order. I haven't even completely unpacked it. I bought it for my 65 but have since decided to go with a custom restoration rather than original. I will send you some pics this evening. Please send me your email address so I can send the pics. My email is hahnster1@yahoo.com
  15. I have the antenna and switch. I will sell it to you for 200 plus shipping. If interested please let me know. Thanks.
