  1. Here’s an early ‘63 with a 120 mph speedometer and 4 note horns. Less than $10 grand on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/235282445448?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=8rIVU-B2SlK&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=H8LJA6RcSPS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  2. That’s pretty cool. I’m not too familiar with micro switches. I know what SPDT means, but where are the wires run to and from? If I’m understanding you correctly, you ran the “C” terminal to a switched ignition source, and the “NC” terminal to the DRLs. Is this correct? I’d appreciate any help
  3. That looks cool. Any more info on your set up?
  4. Your cornering light idea sounds cool, but my Rivi didn’t have the cornering lights, and though the wiring was there, I decided to redo my lighting harness from the bulkhead out. Im using a bulkhead connector from a ‘65, which didn’t have cornering lights anyways, and I omitted any other terminals I won’t be needing. I ran all new wire, new terminals(which were harder to find than I imagined)and I’m waiting on some new connectors. I’m also wiring in relays because I plan on HID lights in the near future. I’m also planning on changing out my parking/turn signal bulbs for something brighter so that they will function as a type of DRL. The one I’m looking at does have a switchback feature, so something like that triple relay wont be necessary for what I’m doing. Besides, I’m already wiring in 4 relays. One for the brighter park/DRL lights(when I get them). One for Low Beams. One for High Beams, and one to run 4 high beams. Unfortunately swapping over to these lights did away with the factory 4 high feature. No worries though. I didn’t plan on keeping this thing stock anyways. As for the diffuser, I’m not sure what works best. I need to do some research and see what others have used.
  5. Not sure yet. I thought about running a relay to the parking lights and triggering it off of the ignition so that when the car is on, the lights will be on. Something to think about
  6. If you want the clamshell feature of the 65, I think it would be easier(but not cheaper)to just swap the whole front clip. I debated doing just that as I have a set of 65 fenders. This just made more sense. Yes. I looked at that thread so many times before committing to do this myself. The one thing I wanted though were the 65 style blinkers. I didn’t even order the grille until I got the blinker assemblies working. It’s the only way I was willing to do it Here’s a link to Steelmans’ phantom headlight thread
  7. Hey everyone. I was going to post this in the other thread for Phantom headlights, but it’s more for the parking/turn signal lights. I’ve been working on these lights on and off for a looong time. Approximately 13 years. This poor thing sat in my garage virtually untouched from the time my wife felt we needed a family car to start a family, until just about a year ago. I didn’t get back on the lights until earlier this year though. Anyways. I’ve always liked the look of hidden headlights on the 63/64 Rivieras and I started with some round 5.75 lights, but I couldn’t seem to position them properly to where I wouldn’t have to disassemble the whole thing just to change out a light. Either the top light was tucked up under the fender, or the lower light was too far below the bumper….. I ended up with some rectangular 4701 and 4703 bulbs. I’ve looked at what seems like hundreds of Rivis with this treatment, but haven’t seen a solution on what to do for the parking light-turn signal that didn’t look like an afterthought. No offense to those on here who have done this mod. I was going to try using 65 turn signals, but I would have needed to fill the void left by the smaller light. I have an extra set of fenders in my shed, complete with turn signals and lower parking light grill extension. So I decided to open up the lower pieces to mimic those of the 65. Don’t worry guys. These weren’t exactly NOS or restoration quality pieces. Lots of careful grinding and filing to get it to this stage. Next I had to make a housing. And a lens And then something to hold the bulb. This is what I came up with. I’m not a fabricator, so it’s not perfect, but it works. I still need to add a flange to put a gasket between the housing and lens It’s not show quality, barely driver quality, but it’s mine. I’m just trying to do something a little different without taking away from the classic lines(and no, it’s not completely bolted together. Just held in place to test for function) Not too thrilled with the bluish color of the parking/driving light. Still looking for the right L.E.D. bulbs. I’m thinking I might also need some sort of diffuser to help disperse the light. Now I just need to finish up the drivers side and take her out for a night cruise to really test the lights.
  8. Sorry...no inner fenders PM me if you’d like to make an offer
  9. Been in my shed for too long.. make an offer... worst I can say is no...
  10. For Sale 1965 Riviera left and right fenders. From a solid California car. $600 For both with lower ribbed moldings and wheel opening moldings. $500 For both without moldings. PayPal or cashiers check (must clear before proceeding) Located in Lodi, California 95240 Pick up preferred or BUYER can arrange for shipping. I will do what I can to assist in shipping, but it is buyers responsibility to arrange for it. Driver side is in great shape with minimal surface rust on inside. All mounting points for clamshells appear to be intact. NO CLAMSHELLS. Passenger side is in decent shape with minimal surface rust inside. It has had some bodywork done at some point before I got them. There is a small inch and a half or so circular patch and 6 or 7 “grippers” that were drilled to pull out a dent and then filled over. Sounds worse than it is. Very repairable. All clamshell mounting points appear to be intact. NO CLAMSHELLS. PM for email and more pics
