  1. '27 Cadillac - looks like on a hollywood soundstage farm - fame is fleeting, not sure who the person resting his foot on the runningboard is.
  2. Wilshire Blvd - Great Stuff! at 0.29, off to the left, is the Packard dealer, cars in plate glass window. at 0.41, PACKARD sign on Tower above the plate glass. Lincoln and Pierce Arrow on the street, left, 1.52. More Packards 2.55. Then, they must have gone around the block to get a better view of the Packard dealer Thompson Motor Co, looks like '35 models in the showroom - vertical grille - and look at the used car lot at 2.58 - I'll take 'em all at the advertised price. the new ones too! Nothing older than 1930 in the used car lot, except maybe the Lincoln L town car in the back past the fence. No self respecting hollywood star would be driven around in something that old! Wow!
  3. More on the '34 Packard Super 8 Touring - with the list of Dignitaries that rode in it, and as it looked in 2007.
  4. Reo Hearse, '33 KA (?) Lincoln, and 2 '32 KB Lincolns. Going in style for $60 !
  5. This '34 Packard Super 8 Touring was used in the Philadelphia area for Parades immediately after the war - and, eventually, wound up with me for a little while!
  6. 7th Series Packard - might be a 745 looking at hood ornament base. Sidemounts unnecessary when you can't get a flat!
  7. 1934 Rolls-Royce 20/25 Sports Saloon by Thrupp & Maberly. Sunroof, beautiful styling, single rearmount spare. California car since the 1960's. Runs and drives, needs restoration. Many detailed photos and a video at www.vaultcars.com the Vault Classic Cars, Fullerton, CA. 714-401-1047 . $29,500
  8. This sure looks like the same car at the 1932 Auto Salon at the Drake hotel - which is right next door to the Lake Shore Drive hotel. And all those other cars are '32's, so I think the date is right, which confuses me on the '33 license plate in the outdoor photo. Here's a link to an article about the '32 Salon at the Drake. And a Picture. https://chicagology.com/chicagoautomobile/1932autoshow/
  9. She drives a Duesenberg - on the sidewalk from Indiana to the Lake Shore Drive Hotel in Chicago! How 'bout them super clean double diamond double side whitewalls!
  10. Wow! That really looks like the one! That is amazing research! Soon to go on Ebay so someone who needs it can get it!
  11. Culver City Raceway program with a nice Duesenberg ad, 1926. 2900 S. Figueroa, Los Angeles, where they once sold Duesenbergs is now a bar!
  12. Thanks everybody for this info - lots of detail and helps get in the range of cars and dates that might have used these tools! Thanks!
  13. I'm trying to identify this tool tray - magneto tool makes it likely 1920 or older? It has an aluminum base or tray, and the tool names are American, "NY & NJ Lubricant Co" on the greaser, and Truffault-Hartford shock tool. Any ideas out there?
  14. Here's a Paramount Studio promotional photo for their 1926 Movie "The Blind Goddess" with Esther Ralston and a Hispano-Suiza. Interesting 2 tone, and look at the horns! wow.
  15. Ok - here's a great one - way before Atlantic Auto Wreckers put up their "Impeach Earl Warren" Billboard above their junked classics in Gardena, CA, we have Dolores Gunn and her escort service in a '38 Packard advocating a recall of the LA "Reform" mayor Fletcher Bowron! And, I'm pushing the pre-war envelope because the missing spare tire tells me it was taken during WWII.
  16. Here's a '30 Packard by LeBaron, built for Mrs. Walter O. Briggs, according to the caption on the back. The caption also says it's a '31 but that can't be true for an obvious and visible reason. It also looks like the chrome cones for the hubs are not installed, leading to the black reflection in the chrome wheel cover. I think it's a 745 - lotsa hood going on there! An awesome car!
  17. Packard Hubbard Woods dealership in Chicago. Parabolics and door accent trim, I'm guessing 6th series 1929. Somebody put a high intensity light behind that chair, made a great shadow of the car on the wall. And highlights the need for some new carpeting under that table full of brochures!
  18. Continuing on the quest for Fernandez et Darrin with lots more pictures on this link: https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=23027&forum=1
  19. Note the Odometer - 58 Miles ! Unfortunately this J Torpedo Phaeton didn't survive. Best Dashboard ever!
  20. The same car? Are you sure? The background sure is.........
  21. My guess is this was taken in France before the car went to India or Nepal. No Palm trees in the background. I bet some of the license plate enthusiasts could take a reading of that plate. Note the Cromos bumper, the Marchal headlamps, chrome wire wheels, and the siren! because people might not notice you on the road without those attention getting extras!
  22. The caption says this '38 Isotta 8A was intended for his majesty the sultan of Iraq. Still in existence? This pic was taken in Italy.
  23. Hollywood glamor - Packard 120 Darrin's - likely near Darrin's showroom?
