  1. https://www.detroitspeed.com/products/suspension_and_chassis/springs/coil_springs/stock_height_springs/parts/031114PDS Pull the backseat cushions to access the trunk.
  2. Willie successfully designed the mysterious "J5" tool described in the repair manual.
  3. Rare is right....but man ...looks like it was pulled from the forest and windows down since it was dropped there. Such a shame.
  4. A bottle of Techron in the tank may keep these clean of carbon. The newer direct injection engines have buildup like this. The dealerships use Techron to clean up the intake valves.
  5. I installed these in the Electra. The green matches perfectly. Looks factory. I feel better having them in the Buick. Pick the right color for your 60. https://www.seatbeltsplus.com/product/1800-Dark-Green.html
  6. @NTX5467 Machine shops building a nailhead as if it was a small block Chevy. Facts. Been there. Failed hard valve seats unnecessarily installed. Rocker shafts upsidedown, etc. @old-tank helped me sort and figure out two different length push rods and lifters that changed after 55. After talking on the phone we surmised if the geometry of the push rods and lifters are correct the nailhead will run. My 54 264 is running rods and lifters that are completely different than what was used during years 54 and 55. New parts were not matching in length. We figured it.
  7. Nose art was only permitted in the combat zones. Never stateside.
  8. I installed halogen sealed headlamps on my 54 and 60 Buicks. No relay. The 54 lights are now fantastic. First time I hit the high beams I couldn't believe the brightness. Nothing went up smoke after driving it with high beams on for an hour. The 60 nighttime driving is much improved with halogen sealed headlamps as well. I used Wagner headlamps. Amp draw as advertised looked good. I ran with it.
  9. Nice car. I suspect the front seat material is worn. The armrest material is cracked. Other than that....she would be a sweet cruiser.
  10. Well, for me, an engine that gets past 100k miles owes you nothing. Anything beyond is a bonus. After the rebuild she'll be good for another 100k. Looking forward to watching you rebuild and first start.
  11. The wipers are now doing what wipers are supposed to do?
  12. Many years ago I installed chrome air cleaners and high flow dual exhaust. I was not nice between stoplights and the drag track. Even in my 73 Estate Wagon. These items always say to me.... abuse.
  13. Chrome air cleaner. Flow master mufflers in the trunk. More than likely not treated well between stoplights.
  14. Like everything else in 2023...the cost of living increases.
  15. I have it as part of my insurance with Hagerty. It's basically $6 a month. The magazine is great reading. The money also helps with programs like Barn Finds and Redline Rebuild. Both excellent programs. Watched one last night the concerned a Pantera engine rebuild. These programs support our hobby. Plus, it covers any towing of your classic if needed.
  16. Cure Ride. A brand I have not heard of. More than likely permitting the tire to bounce and no dampening on rough roads. Given the limited brands making shocks that fit these cars your choices are few. I believe I put Gabriel on mine. The factory springs on my 60 were simply not up to the tasks. Bottom out. Sag when passengers where in the backseat. Plus it looked like an ass dragger. A set of progressive coils provide a factory ride and also can carry a heavy load when needed. Concerning the slight imbalance, rebalance the tires.
