  1. Work and feel like a bias ply. I did run at 65-70 mph for 150 or so miles driving it home. Effortless and not a chore like my 54. Performed well and I did not spend time correcting the steering. I need to replace the rears and will purchase the same Cokers that are on the front. I like the bias ply WW look as well.
  2. Need to source a wing window regulator mechanism. Driverside.
  3. Can someone explain the air flow switch on the dash? Appears mechanical via cable. Currently the blower motor is continuous blowing high and will not shut off. I suspect the blower resister has gone bad. Anyone have this issue? Any outfit produce a replacement?
  4. I will take a measurement and post. The brand is Coker I do recall that from the receipt.
  5. I picked up my new 1960 Buick Electra today. They Dynaflow is a curiously cool transmission. Just keeps pulling. The previous owner kept records and receipts. Had the Dynaflow serviced quite a bit. I'm guessing this is what keeps it working as design.
  6. As of late....a gift my wife got me for Christmas. Totally awesome as it it magnetized and great for lighting up any spot on the car. Very bright and no cord to get tangled in.
  7. Saves time and the back wrenching out bolts/nuts...
  8. Nice having some older parts for the exhaust system you can use!
  9. Looking good under the hood! Head turner for sure. Have fun with it.
  10. I really was not in a hurry. I had set completed and ready to install. Willie is right. Take your time translates to back burner when they have the time.
  11. I don't know the ins and outs. I'm just the ideas guy.
  12. Well, I dropped a set of heads 5 months ago and said take your time. Well...that was 5 months ago. I was told they are ready.
  13. Neat find. Now to have a 3D printer make one for a proper mold and make sets of adjustable rockers!
  14. Good news! Some times it just takes time for the penetration oil to do the job. Heat to work it's magic. Some unconventional tools. Most of all patience. Glad it all worked out well.
  15. Life really is better in a Buick!!
  16. Depends on how far you want to go. Vulcanized seal for the torque ball. Seal for the opening of the torque tube at the mating of the tube and torque ball. In my picture above of the splined drive shaft there is a seal there. Now, the gear oil in the manual is the same as the rear axle. If some leaks in it will not ruin the rear end like ATF does from leaking Dynaflow transmission. I simply drained the very old nasty gear oil in the rear. Made a gasket and refilled. I did not need to go any further as my axles are not leaking at the outer seals behind the drum brake backing plates. As a side note, no matter how much sealant used and gaskets cut there will always be a drop of gear oil on the garage floor every now and then.
  17. Retirement funding. Probably $6500.00. Fat finger moment at the 0 key.
  18. A few thick boards will go a long way on a gravel drive.
