Just happened to run past your comments, from a while ago, but for the record Ill put my 2 cents in, as we speak I have just finished painting my 55 Buick special , and have decided even before i saw your comments that i was going to drill through the ports and install a small flat clear LED bulb in each "can" that will run as running/directional s , I just had all the chrome refinished so i didn't paint the backdrop black, i left it chromed so the little LED's will "bounce" off the chrome and give it a little class. NO I haven't restored it to perfect classic, i tweeked it a little , i just wanted a shinny, clean driver for the weekends and that's what i have without throwing in a bundle of money, its a classic stock stunner that turns heads and draws crowds. but it was funny to read that it was an option of sorts way back......tks for the sharing
