  2. you could also try a hvac supply company,some belts in air handlers are fairly wide .
  3. I would take a look under the dash,those little suckers like to gnaw the insulation off the wires and any rubber hoses they can get their teeth into.
  4. my 1987 f-250 460cid cranked slow and would not start when hot.It had a broken connection on one of the field coils.Rebuilt starter replaced bad field coil problem solved.Never had a starting problem again.

I am in the process of replacing the side sills of a model u sedan.Each side sill is made up of 4 pieces eace 7/8 of an inch thick for a total thickness of 1-3/4 inches. replacement can be made with a 1 inch and a 3/4 inch piece,1 inch piece must go on bottom.the width at widest point is about 9-1/2 inches.each sill half is made up of 2 pieces (4 total for each sill) joined/glued with a tongue and groove joint.I think the total length is 61 inches.

I would love to see a photo of your side sills.I am in the process of making new ones for my 1929 u.A previous owner cut about 1/2 of the driver side out and screwed and nailed plywood in. the pass. side has rotted out where the cowl and side sill cover meet(I assume there is A notch there)I have been looking for A detailed photo for a while there is not much out there though.
  7. thanks for the quick reply but i'am looking for template for the wood sills that bolt to chassis,and wood body framework then connects to sill. fisher body manual refers to them as the main side sills.

  9. anyone have a templete for model u sills? a previous owner tried a repair and botched up the originals pretty badly,I can see basic shape on one of them but can't tell the correct legnth or width.
