  1. Rob, Glad to hear you found a spindle to send off and thanks for the complement. I was thinking Black with a red and silver interior.
  2. I got started on the exhaust this week. I bought my supplies from Columbia River Mandrel Bending. http://www.mandrel-bends.com/catalog...FRFxQgodpwoAow Great people to deal with and they are fairly close by in Saint Helens, Oregon so I was able to run down there and pick up my stuff. Original exhaust was 2". I was able to bump the exhaust manifold flange out just a hair on a friends exhaust machine to accept 2-1/4" mild steel 16 gauge tubing.... The original system also used ball socket/flange fittings but I decided to use the V-Band Clamps for a cleaner look. I also made some hangers for the front that basically imitate the flange hangers that were used originally stole the rear hangers off my 57' Olds parts car for where the exhaust exits the rear of the X-member. I had some nice conveyer belt material from one of the log mills lying around so I used it to make the rubber straps. Here are a few pics.
  3. Thanks for the complement. It is the same system that is in the back of the Buick in your avatar only the upper control arms are attached on the front of the axle housing rather then the top. This allows you more room and a lower ride height. You can check it out here. http://www.artmorrison.com/instructions/tri4-bar1-Model.pdf
  4. I took the summer off and had some fun driving my other cars. Now back on the Buick and here is the chassis pretty much done. Also picked up a nice little 35 Ford 5-window Coupe 58,000 original miles 21 stud V8.

  10. Looks great... Keep up the progress...
  11. I think the easiest way would be to find a 61-64 drop out to bolt into your 60' housing and leave your original suspension alone unless you want to re engineer the rear of the car. The 66' Wildcat parts car will help with all the other stuff. I know that the 60' is a X frame and the 66' has a triangulated 4-link rear but I am not familiar with how that may fit the 60 X frame. It may work pretty good just by adding a cross member for the upper control arms and making a mount for the lowers to the frame. I have a 57' parts car that someone put the open drop out in the stock rear housing if your interested. Post some pics. Where are you located?
  12. That is one impressive Buick... Thanks For Posting...
  13. I decided to build my exhaust next. First step was to build my exhaust tips. I picked up another parts car that had a nice set of bumper ends that will work great for my mock up. I used a piece of 2-1/2" SS .063 exhaust tubing for the tip and then slipped a piece of 2-1/4" SS .063 exhaust tubing inside to complete the tip. These two will get tig welded and use a band clap to attach the tip to the rest of the 2-1/4" system. To finish off the tip I will tig weld a piece of 1/4" SS round stock around the perimeter.
  14. I picked up a 57' Special 2dr ht parts car. It has lots of good parts. It has a nice set of side trim, bumpers, bumper ends, 2-sets of outer tail light housings, 1-set of inner tail light housings, headlight bezels, fenders, and the body is pretty nice as well. Please contact me for any details. Thanks Dan 360-509-8182
  15. Barry, The windshield has been sold. Thanks Dan
  16. I took another look at your frame and your 54' does not have near the kick up like the 57'. Looks like your going to be fine.
