  1. I did send an email yesterday since I work close to that location. I’ve been looking for a 42 Ferrari wagon for some time. I would settle for a 4wd purple sedan!
  2. We were able to get the motor started after flushing most of the old gas. Had a hard time getting the fuel pump to draw fuel from the tank. I was using a electric vacuum pump. All the primer valves were very stiff when I first looked at the car. After adding some Marvel oil to the cylinder through the valves and letting it sit for a week I now have a couple that will open with vibration. As you will hear in the video one opens while the motor is running. We tried to take a lap around the back yard but we nave a brake hanging up. That's the project for this Sunday. Sorry I didn't post this sooner I was trying to attach a direct video link from phone. Thanks again for all the help & info! Jerry
  3. Thank you Peter for the attached serial number information and offer on the distributor. Thank you also Wayne for the additional information. I will see the car on Sunday with a new battery, oil & gas. I'll let you know how thing go. Thanks again Jerry
  4. Hi Peter Thank you for the illustrations and quick response. The car currently has a short battery cable with large battery end attached to the frame. The advance mechanism is not attached to anything and the distributor does not have an base arm extending from the housing. I’m an hour 1/2 away from the car. I’ll se if the owner can get a number off the block Thanks again Jerry
  5. Hello everyone. I’m helping a friend that recently purchased a 1915 Studebaker. The car has been sitting a few years inside, clean dry storage. I did slightly turn the flywheel with the plugs out and the motor did move freely. I lightly oiled the cylinders through the primers & spark plug openings. I was going to change oil, check oil in starter drive and prime the oil pump prior to starting. I was also going to use a electric vacuum pump ( 20 inch vac ) to check the operation of the fuel pump and to help get fresh gas into the fuel system. Also appears that the distributor was changed to a modern style. The battery was missing. I’m pretty sure this system was positive ground. Would that be correct? Thank you Jerry
  6. Hello Is there anyone traveling from the L.A. area to Hershey that would be able to haul a rear seat ( 2 cushions that are apart ) from another member for a fee? I am traveling from the Chicago area and would pick up at Hershey. Thank you Jerry
