  1. capt - yes the 1902 Westfield looks right. The bonnet looks identical with the cornered louvres. Peugeot shows a hole on the top-rear of the bonnet, not so on the Westfield. You have a nice piece! There are some very, very good sleuths on this site! :D

  2. Good job John. The dash has me wondering. The mystery car dash picture shows a bulged belt line across the uppermost of the dash. Centered is a shape that looks like it may have been an emblem of some sort. Any idea on that? That is the only head-scratching left for me. It sure seems to be very rare.

  3. Matt - I looked at the Stutz too, but the cowl-top dual fresh-air vents ruled it out. I looked at the Packard 740 Super 8 / 733 Standard 8 / 4-43 and Pierce, Cadillac 353 V-12 and Dodge DG 8. The Essex Greater Super-Six was the only cowl-top dual fresh-air vented coupe that I could find. The 1930 Nash Standard Six was a beauty, too. DeVaux and Buick were on my look-up list, but I've run out of time! John - you mentioned the right side fuel fill; which photo(s) and where? I've missed that. Dave - another clue is the round fender-top step plate. It is a tough one, but that makes it fun! ;)
