  11. RARE, RARE, RARE! Perhaps one of the rarest and most unusual aftermarket shock absorbers ever produced and do not come up for sale very often. These Roto Flo shock absorbers were originally designed and manufactured in England after World War II as a direct replacement for the better known Houdaille shock absorbers. A limited number of these shocks found their way into the United States. The Spalding Brothers, as an example, used these Rotoflo shocks on one of their Dry Lakes modifieds. Roto-Flo shocks look equally cool when installed on a Hiboy, Lakes modified or a track roadster. It was common for early hot rodders to polish the bodies of the shocks and then lacquer them to prevent them from tarnishing. These shocks were produced in three different sizes: A1, A1-338 and A2/2. These are the lighter duty A1 models. Mounting holes are 85 centimeters apart center to center, shock arm is 7-1/2 inches long with center to center length of 6-1/2. The shock with the blue arm is NOS. Roto Flo shocks are pretty stiff and move in either direction through 360 degrees. They feel similar to what you would experience if you were to compress a non-gas filled tubular shock absorber by hand. Those who have used them are very happy with their dampening performance. $450 FOR THREE WITH FREE SHIPPING TO LOWER 48.
  12. Has been a while since I have been on here but a few changes have been made to the boattail project. A restoration shop in California bought my extra body and the frame went to a local builder. I went with the vintage sprint car project and stretched the frame to 113" inches to install the Lincoln V12 engine with a 3x2 intake, C4 transmission, quick change rear end, Ford V8-60 tube axle, Buick finned brake drums with cast aluminum finned backing plates, Schroeder steering box, two Roto Flo shocks will be on each corner. The body is currently in fiberglass but have plans this winter for Olympic Speedsters in Missouri to make it out of metal. invited to bring it to the speedster reunion in Lincoln this June.
