  1. Hi All I have a 67 riviera with original front disc brakes (Bendix). I have installed new brake pads from OPGI. When I drive the car i can hear a rattling/knocking sound coming from the front of the car, in the passenger side. I took the front wheel of and noticed that the brake pads can move inside the caliper. When I turn the disk back and forth, it makes the same knocking sound every time the brake pad hits the caliper. Now my question is, is it possible to get anti-rattle clips or similar for a 67 Riviera? Thanks Lasse
  2. Thank you all. I did find what i needed at the Buick Farm 🙂

  5. Hi all I have a 67 with a center console. The console is in good condition except for the shift indicator lens and the letters. I have searched the internet for another shifter indicator plate, but with no luck, all i have found is complete consoles. Is it possible to buy the letters anywhare? so I can refurbish the indicator plate, or is the plate interchangeble with other models? thanks Lasse

  7. Hi all I´m looking for a carburetor for my 67 Riviera. I have ben searching ebay for a while now without any luck. There is a lot of rochester Qjet's, but none from 67. The 67 Riviera has the pitch switch and I was told it is a lot of work to modify a Qjet from another year or model to work with a switch pitch. Does anyone have a 67 riviera Qjet carb for sale, or know of another one that will work thanks Lasse from Denmark
  8. That’s what I thought. just wanted to make sure. I still think it strange that so many different web shops advertise this item as a 67 Riviera part. Thanks anyway Lasse
  9. hello all I have a question about turn signal switches for my 67 Riviera. I brought a new switch because the old one wasn't working anymore. Money is tight right now so I brought a cheap aftermarket switch on eBay, but it does not seem to fit. I've seen the same aftermarket switch I brought for sale on a lot of websites, all stating that it fits a 67 Riviera. Am I missing something, or does the switch just not fit my car?
  10. I am pretty sure that it is the original transmission and therefore a variable pitch. it does have the two spades, and it does have the right grooves in the stator shaft. Lasse
  11. I found this one on eBay, anyone dares to guess if it will fit? 1964-67 Buick Special kick-down switch assemby.Pretty decent & working cnd. | eBay
  12. The car does not run at the moment. The engine was removed as a part of an overhaul a few years back by the previous owner. When I bought the car the previous owner had thrown all the original engine parts away and restored a 455 block ready to put in it. Now I trying to find all the bits and pieces to make the 455 complete. The switch on eBay does look right, but unfortunately he only ships to the US. I will keep on searching Thanks Lasse
  13. Thanks for clearing that up. Does the switch pitch switch also go by other names I could try searching for?

  19. I have inspected the trans, using the guide from the link in the top of this thread. My trans does seem to be a variable pitch trans. My next question is. where do I buy the correct converter? When i browse eBay and Google I can't find a converter marked as a variable pitch converter.
  20. The problem is that I brought the car with the engine out and the converter missing, so I don't have a converter to rebuild.
  21. Hi guys Thanks for your replies. My second question about buying a used converter, does anyone have an opinion on that?
