the motor turns over and there has been some patching done on the door bottoms and cowel bottoms as well as the rear inner fender area. there are new parts on it as well.we need to get 6300 out of this car. this Desoto went through a garage falling on it in a tornado and is still a good looking and good running car.it has the 330 Desoto hemi and pushbutton auto. it runs,drives,and stops just fine. it has a aftermarket radiator in it with a electric fan as the original needs recored along with the heater core,we just don't drive it when its cold.i have all of the original parts for it and a set of trim that goes with it too. it has a new set of coker wide whites on it. it needs a few things as you can imagine but it is a true survivor with less than 39000 miles on it. unfortunately the speedo cable broke in October,but it was coming home from the last car show of the year,so only about ten miles more on the car than shown.we are asking 5400 for it.we are on the iowa /Illinois border at rte 30.clinton iowa 52732. email with any questions and if you send me a email address I have many more pics I can send and pics of all the damage done by the storm. you can also call our shop, please leave a message if I am not there and I will call you back as soon as I can. 563-242-0650.

we bought this car to pull the 330 hemi out and put in something else but couldnt bring ourselves to rob a car in this kind of original shape.virtually rust free but it was in a garage that fell in a storm and it has dents and dings on the body and trim.we have a replacement trim for all of the damaged ones that go with this for 5600 dollars.this car has less than 39,000 miles on it and runs,drives,and stops as it should.it needs a tune up and i have the carb off now to install a kit as the gaskets are seeping fuel.its of course a pushbutton auto trans.we bought a new set of coker whitewalls to put on and will need more for it with those on or with it.it has a valid title in our name.

i just went into public home old cars and found the pics I took of cars I have for sale up for sale at a very increased price,be careful of what you are looking at as it may be a scam. the cars i have for sale werent advertised by me on that website.

i would think maybe european as it looks like the steering wheel is on the right.just a guess.

we have a 56 desoto four door for sale,this car has 38000 miles on it. it has a 330 hemi and pushbutton auto trans. runs and drives. asking 7500 with the new koker whitewalls or taking offers . had to replace the fuel pump and installed an in line fuel filter but other than that i believe this car is all original. it has dealer add on air also. it was stored in a building that went down in a storm so it has some dents in the body and chrome,or stainless maybe,but have replacements for the damaged chrome. has almost no rust as far as i can tell. send me an e-mail address and i can send pics of the car and damage.

i have done a little research on whippet coupes and have a 1927,i think the 26 whippet had suicide doors on it,our 27 has standard doors with four hinges. the 27 has a rolled bead on the fender also. i found some good pics and info on the willy overland knight website,may help you out too.
