  1. By the way, those upper rear corner brackets are unique to the 1950 model only. They were lengthened in 1951 and later years, to give more stability. I spotted the drivers side one in the 2nd picture. Mike
  2. I bought a 53 a few years ago. It looked a little better than this one, but not much. It had come out of Canada, but I picked it up in WA state. It was sitting in a storage yard with all 4 doors open. I had to jack it up under each door to close them so that it would fit between the fenders on my trailer, it took hours!! It has been a wealth of parts for my other wagons, as Pete mentioned. Many lose their hardware when the wood rots and falls off, hardware falls also, and is usually gone. I suggest you look around the ground for some parts. It must have been heartbreaking to find it like that. Mike
  3. Bernie, Thanks! Wow, see what 50 cents will get!! Busy streets? My town is one block wide X 2 blocks long!! However we edge on a busy highway, which is a two laner, but is a major east-west corridor from the coast inland. So it is heavily traveled by trucks. Windshields don't last long here with all the rocks coming off those big rigs tires. I do not drive any of my treasures around here!! Mike
  4. Bernie, OK, I'll bite!! My offer is good for only 30 seconds (or less, at my discretion), and it is rather late one (perhaps it will lapse before you wake up to see it!!) Naw, I seen him work, he is out of it, trust me!!. (drumroll...) Offer is $0.50! Yup, A whopping 50 Whole Cents!! (I have 50 USA pennies to back it up!!) So, what did I get?? I mean which one of your treasures? I will be happy to send cash, conveniently wrapped so that our Postal workers don't know it is cash... And do their dirty!! I will tear a one dollar bill in half, that will fool them. Hey, remember, this is a SERIOUS offer, so you have to comply with the terms... Which include: Delivery to my front door...not through it!! (Ya, I realize I am in CA and you are back east, but you wanted the sale, you just have to live with it!!) Get over it...I did!! Full transfer costs, even if you don't know my states rules..bone up, fella! (Hey, you ARE trying to dump it, NO??) A complete inventory of extra parts...no, don't hold back here!! If you have had this beast even for a few days, trust me, there are extra parts!! We are dealing with a collector, not some gullible newbie!! Been there, done that, got a t-shirt, along with many nightmares!! So, never again will some seasoned collector pull anything over my eyes!! Well, maybe.. but NOT IN THIS TRANSACTION!! I assure you!! Perhaps tomorrow, when I am totally overwhelmed by a project (that I will probably never get to)...so many cars, good ones, especially Woodies, so little time!!)!! Anyway, I digress, let me know when the shipper will be dropping it off, here, out in the middle of nowhere, oops, local news informed me, that we are not actually the true center, but, hey. we are close!! Cheers, Mike Oh , wait...You don't even own a Woodie!! What a shock! Oh, lawsuit time...I'll get my $0.50 back, with interest!! I am only into Woodies, primarily Buick ones...of any year...that is any year before 1954! So the offer is void, instantly, unless you can produce a Woodie in 30 seconds... I would love to see THAT feat!! Thanks for the opening, Mike....see ya in court!! OK, Never mind....Mike
  5. Hey, Glassesguy, thanks for the input. I did my research, but it is questionable with the age in mind!! Not so very much info out there, and when you do find it, is it correct?? Thanks again, Mike
  6. HMM! John...mebbe I would be interested!! I am restoring a 1947 Roadmaster Estate Wagon, who would totally enjoy.... OOPS, it is not my thread...gotta step back!! LOL Cheers, Mike PS: (He THINKS he has a set??? If I had one, I would KNOW!!) LOL
  7. Do you want one for plating, or to use as is? Mike
  8. I have several, but I am in CA!! Shipping would be high. Mike
  9. Hey, just trying to help!! I, personally, am not familiar with the '41's, but I did manage to remember there was someone looking for a '41 spare tire hold down. Sorry!! A lot of items on eBay are incorrectly listed... ...these folks are trying to make ends meet!!!.. Which I can relate to... But they don't do enough research!...Typical!! I have repeatedly offered my help, but, no takers to date. I must admit, I do not know all, but my years of loving old cars, Woodies in particular, and my age can help, if I can remember!! LOL Cheers, Mike...just trying to help keep it accurate, here & there!!! And help if I can!!
  10. For any interested parties, there is a guy on eBay selling them for $20, 2 available. Item # 370550106402 Mike
  11. I spent quite a lot of time trying to figure out just what year these were correct for, and I found a picture of a 1936 Buick Special with what looked to be these style caps on it. Perhaps they were...are...for Specials only...I do not know. There is one on eBay now, with a Buy-it-Now of $25, which would complete the set...it looks like it would match my 3!! Similar condition...but pricey!! I would almost give these away, I truly don't want to trash them!! But, gotta clean up here! I am sure you know what I mean. Mike
  12. I bought a set of wheels a few years ago, and they came with these 3 hubcaps. The wheels went on an Olds, so these got shelved, and I just rediscovered them. I do not need them, perhaps there is somebody out there who can use them. They have numerous dings & dents, but are pretty shiny. I believe they are from a 1936 Buick. Make me any reasonable offer + shipping. mikesoldecars@yahoo.com
  13. Doctor of Diecast, these are stainless, not diecast. Thanks for your input, your services are sorely needed. Mike
  14. I think 1957 Rambler Cross Country Wagons are pretty rare. I am the lucky owner of one, and enjoy it immensely. I am into Woodies, so I just had to add wood veneer to the sides and rear between the stainless trim. I added a couple of pics, how about some shots of your wagon? Mike
  15. Pete, If you are still looking for a windshield, I have one from a 1957 Wagon. It sure looks the same, but I am not sure if it will fit. It is a nice used one. Mike
  16. I have a couple of 57 Rambler wheels, 4 lug. Looks like 4 1/2" bolt circle, and they are 15" rims. Any good for you Olcrow? Mike
  17. Robert, I couldn't reply earlier, my internet was down. Did you find out if they will work? Thanks, Mike
  18. These are the bullet bumper guards that house the parking lights. Removed from a 1952 Buick Roadmaster. Will fit 50 or 70 Series. SUPERS & ROADMASTERS, (Not sure about Specials, 40 Series.) The chrome is very nice for a driver, quite shiny. There is no rust through whatsoever, and they would re-plate and be gorgeous for a show car. Price is $75 for both plus shipping. mikesoldecars@yahoo.com
  19. Do you still have any of the wood left? Mike 661 766 9141
  20. Hey, I have 6 Buick Woodie projects going on at the same time!! If I run into a problem on one, there is always something I can do on another one. Some problems seem to vanish with time, or perhaps I read something here that gets me off the stopping point on one of them. It is all good!! Buicks are forever, and Buick Woodies even more so!! Thanks so very much, and keep the info swirling around, Mike
  21. Julian, send me an email at: mikesoldecars@yahoo.com I'll send you some pictures. Mike
