  1. The rear axle on my 1924 Coupe has too much end play. The service manual says to adjust it by turning the wheel bearing lock ring. The lock rings apparently haven't been adjusted for a very long time and neither one will budge, either in or out. Has anyone encountered this problem and know a solution? Barry Cogan
  2. Andra and I have been going to this show for 21 years. It has always been a great week-end because all of the vehicles are running and driving around the Village. We knew that changes were coming but this caught everyone off guard. They have removed the old staff that built this show to the premiere event that it is/was and brought in new people and an outside management company, many of whom know nothing about the week-end or its history. We have been averaging around 20 DBs at the event during the last 10 years or so. Five of the six DB members I spoke with yesterday said they won't go under these conditions. This is really a sad turn of events. Barry
  3. Trailers will be parked at Meadow Brook Hall on a grass field at the corner of Walton Blvd and Adams Rd. Directions will be posted on the club web site and emailed to participants who submitted email addresses with their registrations. Those who did not will receive directions in the mail. Barry Cogan
  4. Hello all, It is June 1 and time for a last minute update on the Centennial Tour. Preparations are going well but we are in the awkward position of possibly having to close registration. I have posted the following message on the club website and I also wanted to share it with forum members. If you know anyone still "sitting on the fence" about registration, please get the word out to them. Barry Cogan If you have not yet registered for the Centennial Tour and have been thinking about coming, please send in your registration NOW. The optional Benson Ford Research Tour is sold out, a couple of our vendors need final counts by June 6, we are nearing capacity at two of the sites we are visiting and the buses to the Gilmore Museum are nearly full. Don't be left out of this once in a lifetime event! IF YOU ARE COMING TO THE TOUR, REGISTER NOW!

  6. That would be John Dodge. He married Matilda Rausch who was born in Walkerton, ON. We have always thought that the Evans & Dodge bicycle company morphed into CCM. Would you care to do some more research from the other side of the border to try and run a line from E&D to CCM? Barry
  7. Joe, I make no promises. Might be a good idea to put chains on those tires! Barry

  9. Just reminder if you are thinking about attending the 100th anniversary tour this summer that there are only 6 rooms remaining at the host hotel at the group rate and the deadline for the tour registration is Saturday, March 1, 2014. Hope to see you there! Barry Cogan, President, Dodge Brothers Club
  10. Can someone give the type and size of the brake shoe rivets (both service and parking) on a '26 DB? Thanks, Barry
  11. It is great to see so much early interest in the Centennial Meet. We are still in the early planning stages but I guarantee it will be a celebration to be remembered. Here is something I hope everyone will keep in mind as you prepare a car or cars to bring to the meet. One of our goals is to have every model of every Dodge Brothers vehicle and Graham Brothers truck built 1914 - 1938 represented at the meet. So, if you have something that is rare please consider bringing it. Barry Cogan, Centennial meet planning committee.
  12. There is a 1928 DB Sedan for sale on Craigslist. If you go to craigslist Detroit and search 1928 dodge it will come up in the Port Huron (40 miles north of Detroit) area. I hope someone can save this good looking car from being rodded. If you're not in this area, I will volunteer to go and take some photos for you. 1928 Dodge sedan rat rod restoration - $3500 Barry Cogan dodgebrothersclub@yahoo.com
  13. The Dodge Brothers Centennial meet is scheduled for the week of June 23, 2014. The meet will be held in the Detroit area. The local meet committee and the national club are committed to making this an event to remember. We are currently working on narrowing down the list of proposed activities and are awaiting proposals from three hotels to host the event. Our goal is to engourage as many members as possible to participate in this celebration and to bring their cars! We would like to see every model of every vehicle built by Dodge Brothers and Dodge between 1914 and 1938. We also want the GB trucks! More information will be posted in the DBC News and on this forum as we make progress. In the meantime, if you have comments, suggestions, concerns, etc you can contact me at: dodgebrothersclub@yahoo.com Get those cars ready for 2014! Respectfully, Barry Cogan Centennial meet committee member
