  2. Hi. I thought I would see if anyone needed seats from a 1960 buick invicta wagon. I am from Australia and I bought the wagon at auction in Spruce Grove, Alberta Canada for the roof and door stainless trim. There is not much left of the car except the seats and maybe a couple of doors. If you want the whole car that's even better. I have only seen the car in photos so I cant tell you what the frame is like, I should be able to find out.   5. Thanks for your reply. I have made a new body mount and it has been welded in. Unfortunately thats a 1960 buick. I am still looking for the rear tailgate glass chrome surround if that wagon has it still. I mainly need the lower piece.
  6. Hi. I am looking for someone who may have a 59 wagon body that is being cut up. I need the drivers side rear body mount that is part of the tailgate hinge. I guess that most of these are rusted out but thought I would try. Does anyone know if they are the same as any other wagons? I am also looking for front park light lenses, a four barrel carter carb to suit a 364(rebuildable with linkages) and the stainless trim that goes just above the rear tail light on the drivers side on the fin and maybe a few other bits. Thank you for any replies.
  7. Thanks for the info. I had to remove the converter and then the ring came off with a bit of light tapping. Not too hard. The workshop manual doesn't appear to cover the ring itself, anyway I know now.
  8. Thanks for the reply Pete. Yes the lesabre wagon finally turned up. Lots of problems but it is here now. I am now concentrating on getting it on the road. If I pull the front cover off the converter will the ring just come off and turn around? The teeth look good on the back. I am trying to be as economical as possible to get the car driving for now due to the costs of getting the car here and then I can use it as a driving project. Rob
  9. Hi. I have been trying to find some information on replacing the ring gear on the torque converter on my dynaflow. I am not sure if it is referred to as the ring gear or flywheel but it is the ring that makes contact with the starter. I have noticed that a few teeth are worn and I was wondering if the ring can be removed and turned around. Or can new rings be bought? My workshop manual is not that clear on if it is a separate item and I cant seem to find much on the net. I don't want to pull it apart until I have a clear picture of what can be done.   11. This car has a good rust free frame if you need one. I don't have a title for the car and all the running gear has been removed so it would have to be slid onto a trailer or tilt tray.
  12. I have some 59 parts I would like to sell so I can get a motor for my 59 wagon. Hood $100, Trunk lid $60, front fenders $250, a pair of tinted rear quarter glass for the wagon $500,NOS drivers side rear clear quarter glass $360 and some parts left from a rust free electra.   13. I have whats left of a 59 electra four door sedan. Good frame,body, doors, tinted glass excluding windshield, trunk lid and good seats. The inner and outer fenders at this point are still available. I also have a pair of good fenders for a 58 and four doors for 58 pillar wagon and a rust free rear cargo deck for the 58 wagon. I am leaving colorado springs to go home to Australia on the 3rd april and need to have this stuff gone with money in hand. If it doesnt sell the majority of it will go to the crusher.
