  1. Not sure if it needs to be replaced or not. Have not had the guy look at anything yet.
  2. As any of you that have read my previous posts know. I have no mechanical skills. I have found someone that I am going to trade out some screen printing (t-shirts and hats) which is my business for some mechanical work on my Reatta. The things that I am looking at are. 1-drivers side window. Goes down about 3 inches and then starts making a clicking sound and stops moving. Will go back up. 2- passenger window. Goes up and down but VERY slow. 3- Power antena for radio. I think it was left up when driven threw a car wash. Motor continuously runs but will not go back down. Question is where do I go to get the correct parts if needed and any estimates on how much labor time each would take. This is the part that I am trading out.
  3. Thank you everybody that responded. I figure that if I say 18city and 24hiway it should be pretty accurate.
  4. I have a buyer interested in our car. One question that I could not answer because my son never kept track was a realistic miles per gallon estimate. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. As Frank Sinatra would say "and yes the time has come." I am trying to help my son pay for college, so it has come time to sell the 90 Reatta that we have. Question is do I sell it as is, or fix the few things that are still wrong with it. It is a Maui Blue with 92000 miles. it is in great shape with seats in very good condition no major dents on outside. have recently fixed the headlights, had the transmission worked on and a few other minor things. Still left are 1 window that does not roll down and the other is very slow, ac runs but does not blow cold (had it recharged and worked for a couple of weeks.) Also crack in the passengers side of windshield. Really need to get around 3K for the car. Is this off the mark? Should I fix the problems and at that money onto the price? I have no mechanical skills so repairs would have to be done by a shop. What should I expect to pay for these? Any advise would be great.
  6. We have finally decided to sell our 1990 Reatta. It is Maui Blue with 91000 miles on it. we have had it about a year after buying it from the original owner. We are asking $4000 OBO. I will have my son post some pictures. only problem that we know of is driver window does not go down and a/c is not blowing cold air(had freon put in but only worked for about a week. A crack in front window on passenger side. We live in AZ. You can call me at (602) 739-7524 if any questions. Below is a link to our craiglist ad 1990 Buick Reatta<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

  8. Ok thank you, I will let my son know he needs to start saving up
  9. Will fixing the repairs have a great impact on the value of the car?
  10. Ronnie, have found someone to help fix the problems. Letting my 19 year old son learn some lessons in life by paying for the repairs himself, which will take a little longer. Our big dilemma is that we have decided that it is time to let someone else have the joy of owning a Reatta, so should we fix it and hope to recover the cost of repairs in the selling price or try to sell as is. Other than these few issues the car is in great shape.
  11. I have a 1990 Maui Blue Buick Reatta Coupe with just under 90,000 miles on it. I'm getting ready to sell the car and don't know if I should sell it as is or put the money into it to get it fixed. This is a list of things wrong: Headlights-Will not go up and down Driver Window- Will only go down about 5 inches Passenger Window- Is slow to go up and down Antenna- Will not function
  12. Good news so far. Met with Mike from BuickReattaCarParts. He was amazing, looked at my car and did a little test drive. Had me try a transmission flush and it seemed to work. Talked about the other problems with the car and is going to help me get it all taken care of. Thanks for the advise.
  13. Thanks for the advice everybody. We live in the Phx Arizona area if anybody knows anybody or recommendations. Jerry
  14. keith, we have a 1990 reatta in Maui Blue That we purchased thru a family friend. t was a one owner car. Everything was perfect until about a week ago. Window stopped going up and down. Headlights also stopped going up and down and today started having some transmission problems. other than that all is good. It has less than 90,000 miles. not sure if we should try to sell as is or fix and then sell. would have to source out the work as no skills on my part. Let me know if you are intersted. Jerry
