  1. The problem is that the owner has previously stated that it is the 50 model of 1925. Now he claims that it is model 58 also from 1925. Unfortunately, he does not want to show more and even the data tag I photographed very quickly and I already I probably will not be able to do it again. I also can not find the first letter on the tag. The next one is YYY, five, five, nine and the last letter is probably P.
  2. Would need to help determine the type and the year of production. I only have a photo data tag and a photo of the car. It's a Chrysler four-cylinder, either type 58 or 50. Can somehow help me? I do not believe what the owner says Thank you marbeton
  3. Well on a second thought, i think that a photo of an cap would be enough. So does anyone have an photo of one? thanks in an advance. marbeton
  4. Hi, today I lost the gas tank cap from my 1925 Chrysler 58 during my journey to an oldtimer meeting. Does anyone have a spare one which I could buy? By the way, I got an award for the second place and an award for the oldest car at the meeting. Unfortunatelly, now I have to find another cap. Thank you for your help marbeton
  5. Hi again Rob, could you send me a length of a speedo casing for the speedometer cable? I dont have it and for replication i need diameters. Thank in advance. Richard
  6. Hi, I´am looking for 1930 Plymouth 30U steering gear hand control lever. I´ve got a horn button but i´am missing those two levers. Thank you for any kind of help. marbeton
  7. I think, the tail lights were completition later, when he had to be on both sides. In our country, certainly.
  8. It looks like the hood of the Buick 1933, has 5 holes, but certainly not from Plymouth. You're right in that it is probably shortened from six-cylinder or eight-cylinder engines. The whole body is probably from another car and a lot redone. The serial number was in the box with the other parts, and maybe not even belong to this body. It feels like a two-door sedan body type with cutaway roof. But whats type??
  9. Thank you for you report. I am sorry.............
  10. Thank you for you report. I am sorry.............
  11. Thank you for helping me a lot. Now I know the history of my car until 1977 and will try to find out something of the past. Richard
  12. Thank you, I agree with you about the engine. The body is still a mystery though. marbeton
  13. Hi, thanks for your help. I also think the body is somewhat strange. I have no information about Plymouth making body convertible sedans. It's either, as you say, a body from a different car or it could be made on demand. The only think that's odd is that we found a Plymouth data tag among the parts. Best regards marbeton
  14. Hi Rob, thanks for your message. It would help me a lot. I am definitely interested. Could you let me know how much you want for it and how much would shipping be to the Czech Republic? Did you happen to remember who you sold your Chrysler (the one I have now) to? Best regards Richard
  15. Hi Viv, thank you for the information. My problem with the distributor has already been solved. Now I'm only looking for a distributor rotor. My distributor is the 634-A type and on eBay they offer the 638-C. Do you know what the difference between these two is? What you wrote about the speedometer AC is important for me, I'll try to get the parts from a different speedometer. Thank you Best regards marbeton
  16. Hi, they are photos from the second car, probably a convertible coupe. Or what body style is it? Does anybody know it or can anybody help me? Was the U30 type engine with or without a water pump? If the engine number is Uxxxx, does it have to have a water pump? But my engine is without a water pump. Is it possible? marbeton
  17. Hi, can you help me determine the type and year of production of two plymouth cars? The first one is a sedan with number 1514793 and engine number U211747. The engine is without a water pump. The second has number 1527832, is without an engine and it's probably a convertible coupe without a rumble seat. Did anyhing like that exist? Thank you for your help marbeton

  22. Hi vintchry, thank you for your offer. Of course I am interested. I also think that Budd made only metal bodies and not wooden. I believe my Touring body was made either by Chrysler or Fisher. I am very interested in the paperwork you mentioned. What exactly is it? Regards marbeton
  23. Hi keiser31, thank you for the information. Are you sure that Budd Mfg. Co. of Philadelphia made also the open cars (Touring) for Chrysler 58? Do you have any documents about it? Best regards marbeton
  24. Hi Viv, thans for your help. I also think that the third small slot will be to lubricate the gears and the big one is only to cover the camshaft gear. I´d say the casting isn´t reproduction as it has a type number on it, although it´s not easy to read. It´s a pity you don´t have any photos. marbeton
