  1. My rant here in Taxachussets.  Registry crooks strike again.  My car here regular plates which are

hand me down.  So this would be the 9 thousand registered vehicle in this state.  My father said his

father bought the first truck around here being a IH high wheeler with this plate number on it. So

he said 1908 plus or minus maybe 1910.  This number in all my days cherished by my father, he

always said when I go do not loose it.....Ok , the "who cares number plates" are 20 or 30 dollars

for passenger cars and they charge me $90 - they claim its a vanity plate which is BS.  they should

give me the thing or at least for the price of  just a run of the mill number plate .  Another case of

dumb and dumber  go to renew "antique" plate on Model T - go there they say plate no good?????

My face turning red,  blood pressure going up.  I don't care, at my age I tell them you idiots issued said

plates to me and you are conniving me to buy new or different ones.  Not a case of money, its a case

of principal to grind an old man as if I were some crook.  And the fee is for a 2 cent sticker I can print

on my computer.  end result; I say boy, I shall see you in court & don't care how much it cost but I

gonna fix you.  So after he meowed with the supervisor I got the sticker. two hours sitting on a

brick bench.  Of course (after paid and said and deal done)  flipped him the twig....

Old saying  " do not mess with a old man he is likely to kill ya"  nothing to lose he lived his life

no government crook punk stops us seniors   We Paid Our Dues

  2. I was watching Utube on the TV came upon street scenes of the 1940's. And right of the bat a 1933 Plymouth

station wagon.  I thought I once had the only one on the planet.  A little different had chrome radiator shell chrome

headlights defiantly not a PC.  My mind forgets,  was chrome shell a early version of a PD or was it PCXX all my

33's had black rad shell & chrome headlights  PD bigger pic of the one we had.

  3. Had one in a 1949 Ford company car.. The business end took up the whole trunk then it had a big

Leece alternator too.  I still dream about that car a grey 4dr, spotlight, overdrive ,super silent V8 .

The phone was not used for blabbing like today only used for main office payroll use......

  4. Sounds like gummed up to me.  Try lighter fluid then  lube with light machine oil........Far as the ampmeter try jumping the

two terminals > now does it charge?  If not If I remember these have two coils probably cooked cause something got over

loaded.  Again if I remember the Hot + goes to one side and the Out + goes to a fuse I think being on the headlight switch.

    been a long time   sam

  5. Ya guilty,  big problem was these cars were a dime a dozen.  I mean who wouldn't in their right mind would not buy

a mint origional paint trunk back 36 Ford for 50 bucks, and my father said thats 50 bucks too much so he offered the dealer

    15 dollars.............This pic taken around 1977/  I traded it even for a 1950 F8 Ford

    this was the wagon.jpg

  6. Still having dreams about this...  as you see original all weather tires.   I have reseached over and over so who built this.

Not the common body company's .  It had 6200 miles in 1960.  Odd enought It said on the doors Briarway Estate

Seekonk Mass.  I googled that historical Seekonk  with -0- results  We got it in 1960.  Then as a stupid teen we put

a coupe body on it and the station wagon body down back went into history.   My back hurts cause I'm still kickkin

my self,  but then I bought a mint PD 4dr $125 drove it to work until 1965 -where did that go. still have mint with

folder operator manuals    for those two .     Now want one, aint gona happen if I can even find one...sam

  7. Don't put a thumb tack on the 70's!    My father bought a new 1948 DeSoto Black Deluxe 4 dr.  I thought this was very

well built must have been fluid drive? I think.  Anyway he trades that for a new Grey 1951 4dr DeSoto.  Those days you go

on a picnic or drive to some 200 mile day trip.  Got into about 100 miles motor blew up came back on the hook.  The dealer

I think was good they said they will take it and for $50.00 more he got a new Sportsman top of the line.  First week flat tire

well the ole man has a shop and when tire was apart the tube said Ha Ha you need a patch?  Next was a rattle around the

left kick panel which rattled since day one but its only one week.  The finding was a Coke bottle welded in there?  Since then

I believe in the built on Fridays or Monday theory.  Then I grew up out of school, father got me a job in Raytheon.  I was

working on the Apollo project i'm like 19yrs .  Things like this:   a worker joker put locktite or glue in everybodys tool box

locks so Monday was a wash out.   The FBI got in here when the joker put super glue on toilet seats meaning the

ambulance  first aid and such.  How these wire harnesses are made.  In the cable dept. has asphalt floors in which the

actual harness print was nailed to the floor,  all breakouts have finish nails nailed in the floor, wire is strung throught nails

so far good, but the joker 3M'ed the print to the floor so that print is for not.  What this means prints are saved for the next

print.  The consuls we made were the actual  ones in the "blockhouse" and those were the acutal ones that sent the men to the moon in 1969.

So I was trusted to carry vent screens for the cousules each $3500 each made out of space titanium /gold and this joker ice

picked them as I walked to the job,  maybe 10 of them.  Now I got to meet the big Brass like Army Navy Nasa.

I can't say no more about this  but this is what goes on in industry.

    2017 I still may be investigated  but I was not guilty per Military back then;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

  8. And if it does have power brakes before going crazy under the dash where the rod from the pedal goes into the booster

try squirting some pb blaster or something and soak it.  Thats where the actuator valve is and over time that white corrosion

stiffens up the rod making it like pushing mud when  pushing the pedal.  Mine was at the point of seizure needing two feet

to push the pedal down,  then waiting for a slow slow return of the pedal.  This is not a defect or engineering defect, its just

a period of time thing.  You have a nice truck maybe go thru the whole thing as mentioned  Napa has all you need.....

  9. At my age no guarantee I wake up tomorrow..  Where I gotta go my 46 Ford V8 takes me there.  Oh yea I need paint

and interior but I have no rust no dings perfect stanless I use 20 50 racing  oil  20 bucks a month for gas v/s $300 a mo.

for F350 '460' so thats parked.  Now  I have a neighbor with Model A, 38 Plymouth ,41 Chev and more, the guys 10yrs

older than me and has a nuclear meltdown if a fly lands on them.   80+ Yrs old no kids  Hello Why?  all are really nice

then he has a mint 1960 Dodge Power wagon with plow= his driveway is 50 feet and he don't want snow flakes on it???

When this guy drops you all know whats going to happen.     bottom line when I'm gone it ain't my problem!!

  10. Pretty sure its the same here in Ma.  you cancel Ins. you suppose to return plates but It depends on how sacred

the plate is.  My case is a low digit hand me down plates  from around 1903.  I sold the vehicle it was on but kept

very low limit insurance  just renewing the same car I sold, because sooner or later the plate will go on something else.

Here it also is 2 year renewal on plates  So they were in my draw for a few yrs and now on a 46 Ford.  Fact is you are

dealing with idiots.  They can't get threw the big hole in there heads  that plates can be bought on ebay.  My kid just got

a set of Mass 1934 plates for his Ford all he did is run down the police station and have them run it >comes back

no response  fat -0- so they are good to go... In recap my plates have been at this residence since grandfather got

rid of a horse and I just feel If I loose them when I drop dead,  either my father or his father gonna give me a beaten...

  11. They say to squirt AT Fluid  in while working the wiper arm back & forth to soften the paddle,  then clean the valve assembly

with brake cleaner.  Vac tank a good thing but a check valve is a must.  I use a Ford distrubutor check valve that they used

in the 70's 80s  (small green valve)  something for emissions..   sam

I was surprised to find California has outlawed non-detergent oil.  I have always used non-synthetic, non-detergent 30wt SAE oil in my 1949 Windsor.  How is the detergent oil going to affect my engine?

California politicians & law makers,  don't they know we, us two legged creatures are only here temporary.  So while we are here,  why

do they make life miserable?  non detergent oil  got nothing to do with anything.  I'm told you can't even buy paint there or paint a car or

have an old something in ya driveway.   Offer me a million to live there NO :  MOVE out of that dump, then kick it in the ocean...I've been

there and there is nothing that gets my attention cause its all gone to a fake plastic place......Took a trip interior south holy smokes every

body got a still junk in the yard a rockin on the porch with a shot gun in hand smokin a pipe with steaming whiskey ! your turn !
