As I said got two cork stoppers almost the same size as original that is pictured on this post will go with Paul's suggestion and use Hirst sealer which I have because I dropped my tank and found rust so cleaned and sealed it will give it a few day to dry as I did with my tank it sounds like nickleroadster tried to seal a already used float which I would not do since it has gas lodged in it
  3. went to a hobby store got two almost identical pieces to what is on the unit for $ 3.00 will seal with Hircsh sealer which I have thank you for all your input

  5. will try to find cork locally it has been suggested it has to be sealed shellac will be dissolved by gas with alcohol and hirch sealer will not stick any ideas ?

I am on the east cost of US wife and I are driving to Niagara Falls then to Dearborn to see the ford exhibits looking for suggestions as what to see where to stay and how to get the best deal for the buck,,,understand Dearborn is some what depressed will we be affected by this situation? I am very careful about the money I put in collector cars when you talk about the money for a paint job wow !!!!! the too cars pictured I painted stripped prepared metal ,,. put primer wet sanded , painted wet sanded--- then buffed cost two gallons of PPG acrylic lacquer then maybe $ 50.00 a can plus primer and sand paper of course I have a place to do it and the equipment and the time

  22. are you sure the pump is producing the proper pressure have a 32 plymouth motor rebuilt last year pump was rebuilt in 70s by a well respected source that advertises on this forum same like your car good pressure but as soon as the oil heats up pressure drops rebuilt the pump myself with new gears and the problem is now solved
