  1. Thanks for sharing Your experiences. If somebody else have done this, please share with rest of us. I guess this should be interesting for more people than me. On tire size: I have found a Yokohame tire that they say is 7.00x 15, so in my simple mind the tire should fit the rim? Or am I wrong? Maybe I misunderstood? I my mind all 7.00x15 tires are made for the same diameter rim size?
  2. Has anyone tried tubeless, radials on old oe wheels for a 1941 Cadillac, or similar? I have found tubelss radials in 7.00x15, but would like to learn from others experience before buying. Thanks Morten
  3. I want to buy a 1941 or 1942 Cadillac. Preferably a series 61 or 63. As original as possible, and a good driver. Spring is soon here, and I'm looking for a car to fill the free space in my new garage. I'm sure someone has a beauty in their garage that does not get out often enough:-) Please send pictures and information to: bjerkhaug at yahoo dot no Thanks Morty :-)
  4. Hi Matt. I saw your posting just today. I'll have a closer look at it tonight after work and let yOu know what i think. Thanks Morty
  5. ttt I'm looking through Craigslsit but hasn't found the rigth car there this winter. Maybe someone in here has what I'm looking for? Sure is a lot of other interesting stuff in here. Morty;-)

  7. Ttt Thanks for all messages and leads, but I'm still looking for the right car. I'm not looking to trade in gold or similar. Just a good old trade of money against car. The title must be a clear title/correct for the car (year and make) and the sellers name, and it must be registered and running. Everything else creates to many problem when exporting from US ports and makes it almost impossible to import into Norway. Not to speak of never getting it registered over here... I have been tipped about a sereis 63 on ebay. This is the same car i have mentioned that the seller sold to a another person after we had made an understanding.... I have a report and pictures that tells me I'm not willing to pay that amount of money for that car... There are several areas of the car that should have been showed off, but that has conveniently been left out. No need to say more. By judging of the sellers feedback on ebay it seems this seller and the previous owner does business the same way. So I think I'll look for another car. you just don't buy the car when trading long distance, You buy the seller as well. So good people, I'm still looking to buy a good, sound car. Happy hollydays everyone.

  9. Even if this is interesting, can we please let this be my Want to buy tread?
  10. Hi Matt. Thanks for Your offer. I must say your are a good sales person. And the car really looks great. The thing is that I'm not looking for a car that is completely finished with high quality paint for show purposes. A part of the hobby for me is to fix things up myself... And as I have a car or two that also needs some attetion I'm not in a hurry and can afford to wait for just the right car. But I'm only interested in a car that's running and stopping already, as this makes it easier to evaluate the amount of work needed to be fixed. Also, having bought a bigger garage together with some friends i have been doing more carpentry than car fixing the last year.... But it will soon be finished and the 1944 (ford) jeep's looking for some 40's company in the garage:-) Actually I missed out on a car just some weeks ago because the seller did'nt honour our agreement. He sold it to another person after the inspector had seen the car, but before I had received the report...(less than 24 hours after the inspector had been there...) Not a gentleman to my likeings... I'm looking for a daily driver with as little surface rust as possible and a nice/okey original interior. One that is as original as possible with some patina is preferred. The last year i have been looking for a 1942 buick, but it seem there's not to many of them around where price asking and actual condition corellates... So I have decided to also look for a Calliac as I think they are great looking vehicles. And it looks to be more of them, and parts, around. My favourites are the series 61 and 63. But I think all 1942's look great. So if somebody have a car they feel could need a new home, instead of beeing neglected in the garage, please take contact :-) Morty
  11. A very, very nice car. But not the type I'm looking for, and a bit to expensive. M:-)
