Looking for a model T or model A project for the winter...within 200 miles of Dayton, Ohio...thanks

I have some misc engine parts for a 1927 Pontiac...oil pan, pistons, starter

Thanks for all the good information..I plan to restore the car and not flip it....the bidding tends to stop on a non running Ford A on ebay with bad paint and tires at 3500. or so. I could tell from our conversations that her friends were telling her 5-12k for the car. Dwight, good suggestions and I was planning to give her a ride as I can tell she has a sentimental attachment to the car as it was her late husbands. I also have another opportunity to buy a 31 model A rolling frame with drive train..non running motor, for 800. and build the car as I find the parts...good idea or not ?

it hasn't been run in 8 years as the owner passed away....I cranked it over with the crank...she moved but was pretty stiff... -
I have a neighbor of mine that has a 1928 Ford model A coupe that she is thinking about selling to me. It hasn't run in 8 years, tires are cracked, paint is peeling, original interior....no rumble seat. Trying to come up with a fair price....any suggestions...thanks

hmm..not sure...there is a gap between the connecting rod and the rod cap...looks like to seat the bearing...who ever took the motor apart last time did not place any bearings in the connecting rod or your right and they are babbit bearings

Had a knocking sound in the motor after I got the electrical and carb situation together. I pulled the head and the pistons...wrist pin seems very loose and there were no removable bearing on the rod. Any suggestions to where to find piston rings, bearings, etc...?? Not having much luck. Thanks

The engine smokes as well..gets better a little when it warms up....hmmm....so, your saying basically could be piston slap because the rings are shot....or a bad wrist pin possibly...so sounds like I need to pull the oil pan and pull the pistons out and check the rings and wrist pin bearings...any suggestions on where I can find rings for the 27 ?...thanks
