  2. Love the club sedan, such nice proportions! BTW, interesting Packards in the background. Please tell us about them.

hi,the cars in background are going to be up for sale this spring. 1931 std 8 4 door and 1934 std 8 4 door are I think parts cars, have sat in barn since 1959, 1934 missing rad and shell and head. the 1937 division window covered with tarp will be parts I might need for the silver and black club sedan. then will sell parts or the rest of it. doug in nj any interest call me 201 230 3300. also have 1940 super 8s conv sedans. have 1937 120 parts cars 1939 120 parts car. have 1936 parts of 120 conv sedan also.

  3. Well I'm back finally with information. Today I managed to get the car to run, but poorly. I found that the wire between the switch and the electric fuel pump was bad so I got that solved and the fuel pump works on the switch again.

I'm having to use a jumper wire between the battery and the ammeter to get power to the ignition (new) switch, and with the jumper attached the car will start and run. So there's a problem in the wiring between the ammeter and the battery. Still working on isolating that.

The next thing I want to do is check to see if all the cylinders are firing, but I'm stumped on how to gain access to the plug wires at the spark plugs. There's a metal shield/cover over the spark plugs and wiring that I can't figure out how to remove. The shield is just below the valve cover. How do you remove the shield? There are two screws that hold a tube for what I assume is the crankcase breather near the front of the motor, those two screws also appear to be holding that wire cover in place. Naturally the screws are stuck so I'm soaking them now. I see some holes in the cover for what might be additional screws but the screws are gone. Not sure I'm even making any sense here but I've never seen a design like this.

hi, give me a call. have 10 of these 29 franklins. doug hull 201 230 3300

  4. Only 38 left in 4 year production. Restored and finished in 1991, driven across states twice since. It drives 65 MPH on interstate roads nicely, no faults, just a great driver!!! Have more to restore, so this one goes!! Asking $105,000, that's less than restoration costs now. Hullco Layton Garage, Doug Hull, New Jersey, 201-230-3300. Best to call, emails are not checked on a regular basis!!

  5. I need the following parts to complete my 1929 Series 130 coupe: A pair of Fender light reflectors. I have the lights, bases and glass. The reflectors are 3 inches in diameter. Also a golf bag door lock. Someone out there must have these items. Thanks for looking. Jim

hi, golf bag lock is same as door, only shorter shaft. and tom is correct, no reflectors on any 29 franklin fender lights.
