  3. Here is your chance to own an unrestored, original time capsule, We have an extensive collection of original cars and are slowly reducing what we own. This is a 1978 Datsun 510 wagon from Tennessee. All original with the following exceptions. Due to age and for safety we replaced the following. 1. battery 2. 4 x tires 3. wheel cylinders and flex hoses 4. complete engine tune up 5. Lube / oil / filter /rear end fluid and brake fluid were all flushed changed and refilled. 6. Fuel tank flush and fuel filter. 7. interior carpet. The car has been buffed to a high shine to restore the faded paint and there is ZERO rust or body damage. Interior has been cleaned and the carpets have been replaced due to staining / sun fading and a musty smell . The ONLY thing I have found wrong with the car after having it for the time I have and having gone over it , are the 2 missing fender emblems and a small area of vinyl separation at the back of the rear fold down seat. The car starts right up and runs and drives well. I wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere or drive it across the country if that was your wish. It needs to be driven instead of just sitting in our storage building and run around the block once a month. The car does have the following options. Clock, Air conditioning. It has an automatic transmission, manual brakes and steering , am/fm radio, fold down rear seat. If you have questions just ask. If you want to see or drive the car, just ask. We have more than enough cars and we do not want anything in trade so if you send an email asking if we will take something in trade, it will be ignored. As this is a 42 year old car, it is sold as is, where is, with no warranties. As of today's date, everything on the car is working like the day the car was made.

  5. We have a very large collection of original, unrestored cars. That being said, we are getting older and find the number of cars we have too large and cumbersome to maintain by myself. So we either have to hire full time staff or sell off a few of the cars that we drive the least. The simplest option is selling some of the cars. It takes me weeks every year just to lube the cars and change the oil / filter not to mention doing other work. I want to drive them, not endlessly maintain and clean them. This is one of the cars we drive the least. Not for any particular reason however it just is not my favorite cruising car. I like looking at it but it just sits in storage.. It drives exactly like what it is, an original low mileage ( roughly 34,700 miles as of this writing ) time capsule 1974 Chevrolet Vega Estate wagon. In 1974 this is what the car drove like and that is still what it drives like today. We still take the car out once or twice a month to antique car cruise ins locally so the mileage will go up 20 plus miles each time. Very loaded with options ( reasons unknown) for it's time. Dual mirrors; automatic transmission; air conditioning ( on a Vega go figure ) ; sport steering wheel ; clock; am/fm stereo radio ; wheel rims; full carpet, rear defroster and probably something else I do not recall. Since we have owned the car, new radials have been installed ( old tires were probably 35 years old ) and all the fluids have been flushed and replenished. The car has been tuned up and all maintenance items have been taken care of. The car starts right up; runs and drives well; stops well. Everything works ( but the clock which is typical ) The car is rust free top to bottom. Clean and shiny underneath with no evidence of rusting or damage. Paint is shiny and nice ( there may be some very minor chips somewhere or faint car wash scratches ) but you would be hard pressed to see them. I don't recall seeing any but I am trying to be clear. This is an unrestored original time capsule. As of today there is absolutely nothing that needs to be done to the car other than finding a NOS passenger mirror. The one on the passenger side is starting to get pits but not on the drivers side. Other than that, it is good as it is. No, don't bother to ask about taking anything in trade. We have more than enough cars. If you want to see or drive the car, or have someone inspect it, it is just fine. Email and we will give you the address of the car. As lovely and original as this car is though, it is still a 46 year old used car and it is sold as is , where is with no warranties as per Florida law.

  8. Probably the rarest of all Crosley cars. This is 1 of only 358 Crosley Hot Shot Super Sports made in 1952, the last year of Crosley production. Not many are left. The Revs auto museum here in Naples shows how the Collier family got into cars and racing by using one of these to win the early AACA races at Sebring. This is an older lovingly done restoration by an elderly Crosley Club member who has passed. I bought the car from the estate to add to our collection as I have always wanted one and this one was completely restored from top to bottom. I have not driven it more than a mile and it has just ended up sitting in our garage. I was thinking my wife would enjoy driving it since she has an affinity for small cars ( she has a Metropolitan Convertible and Nissan Figaro ) but like me, the older she gets the less she wants to drive a manual transmission. So again the car just sits. As the car was restored a dozen or so years ago, it still shows very nicely but it is not 100%. There are a couple of very small paint chips on the front hood panel and some areas of chrome that are starting to age, but they are too small to show up in photos. The car could use a good detail and cleaning but I haven't noticed anything other than that. All the fluids have been flushed and the car tuned up since I obtained it plus new tires in the last year and as I said it just sits. It unfortunately sat from the prior owner and now it is just sitting with us which is why we are considering parting with it. I have sent the car to a body shop I use to have the entire car detailed and polished. Yes, I probably could have done it myself but it is still 90 degrees and humid here in S. Florida and I am too old to deal with that. You can see by the last picture on the page, we are cramped. In addition to 4 cars in our two car garage, we have storage units with the rest of the 12 cars so no, we do not want anything in trade at all. Having some extra room to open a car door is actually the goal here. As this is a 67 year old car, it is being sold as is , where is with no warranties. If you are interested, we are open to reasonable offers. $ 24,995 Obo. problem with site is not allowing any of the photos to load - if you are interested just email me and I can send you the photos directly.
  9. Car is still available and sitting in a storage unit - undriven and lonely
