Great information as always Scott, now I know what to look for. My Faxonautolit manual leave the last few pages out, section 17 E doesn't list shocks for PE and only fronts for PF/PG ans section 18, the not bolt and washer parts is empty saying refer to April 1st 1934 edition. Thanks for your help.

Can't find anything with those numbers plus the fact that it's a .jpg file which tells me I do not have authority to view. Sorry plus the AC Delco catalogue only goes back to 1958

Looking for a pair of rear Lovejoy Shock Absorbers for my 1934 PE
  11. I think it's the third gear that usually goes and they do pop up from time to time on eBay but usually I'm interested in 33-41.
  12. Just had an email from Chris, he is OK and made progress with the car.
  13. Scott, Happy New Year to you also back on the job in the morning, not been there since 22nd Dec, not like me at all. Not heard a thing from Chris, about once a month I ping an email to him but nothing comes back his surname is Sokol, not thought of trying white pages, I'm thinking he was 10 miles NW of Houston but most concerning. Purchased a PT 125 end of 2016 in really good condition, no Engine/Trans but I now have a T142 unit to go in it. The other 34 PE was much worse than I originally thought, slowly cutting out and replacing with new steel, labour of love but you already knew that. Keep in touch.

    1934 PE ??

Still not convinced that this color is the correct one. a few days ago on another site someone posted http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?ditzler=IM1384&con=4&page=1&rows=50&size=large that site list carrotte #3 as a product PPG IM1384 G B Y1934PlymouthPlymouthCarrotte C IM1384#3, also Carotte Red Not a paint man but can't rely on anybody to get what I want, got to get me a crash course on paint types before I go any further with this part of the resto.
  15. Can't wait now to get my RHD PD RS looking like the one above, has been up on the 2 post for possibly 6 months now, one of the problems working in a tardis, need more space or less cars but there's nothing I want to sell on. there is another unit coming up for rent but until I see it there's no decision to make. Got to get my head down come Tuesday to stand a chance of getting the top three on my list finished.
  16. Slowly getting this old girl ready for paint, problem here in the UK is space which I have very little of, all the time it's not used it will be parked close to other projects and that's when it will get knocked. Am looking for a decent photo of a serial number plate, I have the number and build card but the last owner took the plate off and can't find it, all I have is the 2 holes and a witness of the outline. Not sure if these plates changed size and style over the years, our licencing agency require photographic evidence of this and the engine number before issuing UK registration, any help would be good. Thanks
  17. Hi Scott, yes n/w of Houston, still no reply to my email I sent direct to him. Hope their alright.
  18. Hope Chris is OK, he has not posted since June, been following his journey since day 1. Have emailed him but not had a reply.
  19. Photo1/2 PD/PE Hood doors Photo3 PD Hood Top under the PE , now what I am asking is did Dodge make the same profile change in 1934 and was it both the cars and commercials. The straight edge parallel to the bottom of the photo is the center hinge joint Thanks for looking.
  20. I will post a couple of photos tomorrow. Thank you
  21. Pity you've lost the images, I'm now trying postimage.org Look forward to your next update
  22. I have a 33 PD and a 34 PE the hood doors are at the same angle but the contour across the top of the hood is completely different, to be exact the 33 at the center is 1 1/4" shallower at the center. As Dodge and Pymouth used the same bodies? did Dodge also change the top contour for 1934. Throughout the automotive bodywork trade where 2 panels meet the gap is called The Shut Line.
  23. I know nothing of the pricing or the delivery but http://www.theplymouthdoctor.com/ is a member of Plymouth Owners Club, they've been trading over 25 rs, delivery is never an easy subject but what's the rush, most of these projects take months or even years. Should a supplier be able to make a purpose panel in a matter of day I don't think he will be around long, give Wayne a call I hope he can help you. My 33 PD needed a toe board, what came with it was ply and I wanted to return to stock, being across the pond I had no choice so I made this.
  24. Did Dodge change the shut line Cowl to Hood, I am aware that Plymouth did on the car range but what about Dodge?
