Not quite the same shape but had to add the extra bend to clear the sheet metal on the side of the door before entering the guide inside the door. Thanks for your help gents. Tom

Thank you so much Tod for all this information, I can now go forward to get this part completed. So simple when one has all the correct measurements. Having been the caretaker of this RHD r/s Coupe for 11 years now hoping to have it drive able soon, it has not been driven since pre 1970 when a South African enthusiast noticed it almost abandoned at the roadside.

Thank you John, so I am correct about the style but would like to get an idea of the length to determine what the open measurement of the door should be, or perhaps what the angle should be. These arms I will make myself, I'm not ever going bother to look for them, my thinking is that the angle might be about 50° of movement. Would be good if @ply33 picks up on this thread.

Looking to find out what type of retaining stay was used to tie the door to the B pillar. Not even sure what you would call it in the States, my thoughts are that it is possibly a piece of flat steel with a cross pin on the B pillar passing through a 9/16 x 5/8" slot in the door. A single photo would suffice, this is holding up getting the door cards fitted. Thanks for looking

Dennis I have these pics on file which I used in another thread which might help you. The Grommets are 4 1/2" x 4 3/4" high, the hole in the gas tank shield are 3"sq with 3/4" corner rads. 21" between inside edge 27" across outside edges. All these dims. are from my 1933 PD Coupe. Tom

Dennis you've got me thinking now, how long are those frame extensions and are they parallel to the ground. Think that the bed on my 34 was bodged at the rear. Thanks

This is the rear corner of my 34 PE frame not the best but I did say its in store. I'll search for more pics.

The PE ran with 114" wheel base with independent front suspension PF 108" W/B and IFS PG 108" W/B with solid front axel with leaf springs.

I have both frames, 33 Coupe and 34 2dr Sedan, the 34 is a much stronger frame with lightening windows in the X members. I will see if I can get to the rear next week, it's in store waiting for me to finish the 33 restoration.

The photo posted 1st Feb is definitely a September 1933 PD Coupe, the numbers stamped into the frame are same as the build card issued by Chrysler Historical.

Well people this has taken much longer than originally anticipated, almost 5 years in fact. The bottom image is not a true representation of the item, my thinking is the lack of light is making the right hand side look distorted, take another look at image 1 which shows the contour better. There is a video that shows how to fit these to the brackets after your final painting has been completed and before they are fitted to the car frame. Sorry, afraid I don't, to be honest I haven't seen one come up, I only have the one for my 33 PD Coupe. The Sedan I think is based on steel brackets and bent stays which if you can come up with drawings a steel fabrication shop could make one. Tom

Found these 2 listings on autocolorlibrary.com that go from 1930 to 1934 gives all colours including stripes and wheels.

Found this photo on the Bulletin forum, I didn't think it was correct but the sketch you posted would suggest it is. I will contact the owner of this photo to get an image to above the waist line. Tom

Hi Tod, thanks for your speedy reply, don’t know how I missed the colours on your data base, I often visit there when looking for information. This PD is definitely a Detroit build, hope you can find time to locate the diagram. Was said a few days ago to me that positions are different between PD and PE, Jim B has some information on the PE that was compiled by Ed P that states 3 different layouts, I also have a PE which I am restoring but that’s a long way from paint.
