I'm looking for my H44 Roadster
- Hot Air Assembly part # 38866' complete
- or the indiviual parts as Indicator Dial #35749, Rod #38347 or Control Handle #35725

I have restored the whole body (including complete new wooden frame) and engine of my 1919 Roadster.
The colour of the cylinder assembly, manifold, waterpomp and generator unit was light grey.
The valve cover, valve push cover and spark plug cover are black.
As I see on the internet all various colours, I wonder if there was an original color ex-works.
I can't find any specification in the documentation.
I live in The Netherlands so it is difficult to find answers overhere.
Hopefully you can help me any further

Early tourings and roadsters had fabricated seat cushions, but the backrest was "loose" in the sense that there were independent springs, mounted in a pattern and connected with spring twine, using a special knot that kept them in place and spaced correctly....then the seat material, with it's own fabric and backing and padding, was installed over the springs.
Like a lot of upholstery, simple in concept but hard to explain...
Thank you for your comments. I also found that there are differences between US and Canadian built cars. I will see what solution fits most

I'm in the process of finishing my upholstery and wonder 'How' the back of the seat is mounted:
Is it fixed to the wooden backside or is it a removable part?
From the Buick sales catalogue it looks like the leather of the back is nailed on top of the body. The parts list does not show a picture of the seat. How is the top fixed to this?
A clear picture would elucidate my questions. Can someone help me?

I'm in the process of finishing a 1919 H-44 roadstar.
Can someone tell me whatwere the color options for:
1. Exterior (wings and body)
2. Inside the steel body like in the trunk and engine compartment (Firewall)
3. Seats
I redid the complete woodwork in nice oak and wonder wheather this had a color as well.

Thks for your reaction. Yo're right but the steel body is provisionaly fixed toe a wooden frame that is mot correct to my opinion and the whole structure is not fit to the chassis at all. I know that I have to start from the friont end with the radiator, than the firewall but still the wooden underframe is incorrect and I have to adjust this.
Does someone have correct dimensions for the drawing I made for this wooden frame? PS I will be away for 3 weeks to inner Africa so will not have much opportunity to read your reactons Thks anyhow and a wonderfull 2011 with lots of car fun

It is the STEEL body without the wooden parts. The wooden parts are made by the previous owner in San Francisco USA about 10 years ago but they don't fit correctly. The dooropening is not wide enough to receive the door IN it. The steel pan which goes at the front side is hitting the gearshifthandle and the handbrake so I think the front transversal layer has to be more to the back.
I hope this info with the pictures do clearify the problem

My body is fine but I have to know the exact location of the wood to fix the body to the chassis as a first step. Could you elucidate this for me with some pictures or drawings please?

I just joined the club and my question is about a floorplan for a 1919 2-door H-44 Buick. I bought this car in parts from Cal. a year ago. The chassis, engine and body will not cause major questions and are on the way to be finished. . But the wooden structure is incompleteand wrong at various places.
- Are there any plans?
- Is the wooden structure perhaps identical tot earlier/later twoseaters?
- Do you know anyone who has this type of car?
I am looking to get access to a network that can help me (here far away in the Netherlands.
