  1. LOL Unfortunately, didn't bid on the '51 due to a lot of personal stuff going on last week that is resolved now.Uncertain what i'll do w/ this one but I'll either restore it or buy another '50-'52 56c that is a better candidate QUOTE=shadetree77;935762]Weeeellll....you could "donate" that 52 to me and I could work on it to ease your troubled mind. Sure would look mighty fine sitting next to my 52 Special. Hey, maybe you could write it off on your taxes as a charitable donation?
  2. The rusty '52 is very rusty! Floor and trunk pans are gone! Want to save it but that '51 is in my home state and would probably cost less in the long run
  3. I know lol. Can't have both. Her hates the rusty one (but to her credit she tolerates it). Decisions decisions!!
  4. OK, I'll post a comment-should I restore my rusty 52 super convertible, or should i go for that excellent '51 (the super NOT the roadmaster) on e-bay that needs little work
  5. It should be on the top of passengers' side firewall (cowl)
  6. There was a bid for 10k earlier, but it was retracted
  7. Congratulations Scott!! My wife and I are going to Bennington next week for a brief respite. Too bad we didn't go this w/e -Dave 1952 56c
  8. Thanks for your input, guys. One thing I didn't like was "don't ask me to send any more pictures"
  9. Anybody know anything about this car? Have to pass on it, but wanted to share it on here as roadmaster convertibles are so rare. I see several things that are incorrect, including the interior and the engine being painted the body color. Would love to see someone on here grab it if it's worthwhile Buick : Roadmaster - eBay (item 190576876286 end time Sep-23-11 14:26:52 PDT)
  10. Not mine-listed as a parts car, but looks like much more DeSoto | eBay
  11. Thanks, Brian. I've looked at that website previously. Wouldn't hurt to send them an e-mail and inquire though
  12. I'm going to attempt to register it later this week before I sink big bucks into it. I would like to find a trunk pan before I send it out in the fall, instead of paying a king's ransom to fabricate one but it's like trying to find ...oh well, you know
  13. We lost power Sunday Morning around 4am and we got it back tonight at 8:45. No damage, just a little water in the (unfinished) basement. Worst part was having no water (well and septic)
  14. This is like the "opening Al Capones' vault" thing that Geraldo Rivera did years ago lol-What will it be???
  15. My rusty '52 56c is sitting safely in the garage. Getting ready to move all patio furniture etc. indoors:eek:
  16. Prayers sent. God bless your son and his family.
  17. It'll get there one of these days!!
  18. Nice!! Great story. Would be estatic if my '52 turns out half as good!
  19. My sister just moved to McKinney in June. It was 106*earlier
  20. We'll probably never know -op was over 5 yrs ago and hasn't posted since lol
