  1. X2 computers should have breathaliizers to screen inappropriate posts!! ...Or maybe not...Some of my best ideas come to fruition after a little or a lot of liquid libation!! ...Or maybe not!!

While I have disdain for the easily offended AND I work as "blue" or worse than many other folks around here AND I have been known to post whilst drinking.

    I do agree.

    Noted.

  2. I for one would love to see it. QUOTE=Bhigdog;1124641]Thanks Mike. I don't want to hi jack this thread. I was thinking of posting the pics of the 55's restoration, not all at once but in bits and pieces so guys could discuss the process as it went along. I'm not sure where it would go or even if any one gives ****........... Lamar, any thoughts?..............Bob

  3. If they had cash for clunkers in the late 50's or early 60's how many of our early to mid 50's Buicks, not to mention any other great cars of the era would be left?? Next to none. Maybe we don't think much about it now, but many of these cars that were crushed for dubious reasons were a childs' first memory of dad's car (sound familiar?)Dave BCA#46470 1952 56C

  4. Ben-Is the name of the color of your '50 Glen Green? Thanks much-Dave BCA#46470 1952 56C

Does anyone own a 1950 Buick with the hood that opens using the special key that is inserted into one of the portholes and turned? I am looking for a photo or two of the key, and a photo of the key inserted into the porthole, to illustrate the two different types of hood opening mechanisms in 1950. The early 1950 Buicks had the key; the later ones had the hood pull cables on either end of the dashboard. My '50 is the later type. I would like these photos in order to prepare a short article for the Buick Bugle about this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  5. Welcome Jack. The '50-'52 Buicks are my favorites as well. Don't have much experience working on them yet. There are several guys on this site that have experience w/ these wonderful cars (check out shadetree 77s' thread about his '52 special) http://forums.aaca.org/f163/1952-special-deluxe-project-315000.html Much knowledge here. Enjoy! -Dave BCA#46470 1952 56C
