  1. Where is the truck located? Not sure where Orangeville is. Orangevale is near Sacamento. I live in the area and have a similar truck. A 1929 Dodge Bros 3/4 ton. I have a lot of information to discuss.
  2. I believe the Stockton plant built trucks only. Not sure if they were the heavier straight frames only or the humped frames. My 29 DB 3/4 ton has a straight heavy frame.
  3. Thanks for posting ads. I was able to get the better resolution photo of ad. Just learning how to use the Apple computer methods.
  4. Looks like the "E" series 1 ton. Where did you find this ad? Is it possible to get a better resolution picture I could put with my files?
  5. I used MicroStation while designing bridges at Caltrans here in Calif. Great 3-D capabilities but a steep learning curve. I am finding after being retired for 7 years it is getting tough to use. There may be more user friendly cad programs but I do not have a recommendation. If you use Apple system there may be less choices.
  6. If this is a truck post a tread in the Dodge Bros portion of this web site. There are many interchangeable parts since dodge built part of the truck.
  7. What vehicle are they from? Sent some pictures of the rim. Not sure what type you have.
  8. Very interesting find. This is an Evansville "D" series Graham Bros truck. The table shows as a 137 WB but yours is 127. Wonder if table is incorrect of the frame was modified. The engine has the Victory 6 generator location. Where you able to find an engine number? If so what was it? Half the fun of these old trucks is the history that goes with it.
  9. Picture not viewable. Do not use Goggle Account
  10. I still believe this to be a Senior 6 which was used in the larger Dodge/graham trucks. It definitely is not a DA 6. I have only two valve covers on my 29 DA 6 and this has three. We need a frame number. This should be on the title if available.
  11. Motor number should be on manifold side of engine above the valve cover plate at front of engine. The frame number will be above front spring hanger on the drivers side. Looks like there is a lot of paint that is covering it. The frame number should have a D, E, or S prefix. My Dodge Bros is a 1928 "E" series. I noticed that your cowling is smooth on the sides. My truck has a raised belt line that runs from door supports to the firewall. I believe yours is not an "E" series truck. The frame number would confirm that. Great pictures for reference.
  12. I have Stewart Detroit carb on my early DA 6. I recall that there were not any gaskets or rubber seals. It was all metal. I wonder what is in the kit. Could post a picture of your carb?
  13. This is a senior 6 engine. Look at the water jacket. That's a clue. http://forums.aaca.org/attachments/f148/197047d1368558486-dodge-engine-graham-bros-truck-img_3957.jpg
  14. Did you ever find a frame and engine # for the mystery truck? If so could you submit them. They give a lot of information.
  15. These are the headlight buckets off my 1928 (the shining one) and 1930 (rusted one) Dodge Bros trucks. I believe the 1928 one is similar to the one used on late 20's cars. The one off the 1930 is a bit of a challenge to determine. The rim band has a streamlined top piece on the 1930's one. It also has a more streamlined shape. I believe the 1930 bucket was not a replacement but part of the original truck. The mounting bracket is the same as the 1928. The 1930 truck a later production truck. Dodge was using parts that were available at the Stockton assembly plant. Any ideas that the 1930 bucket would be a match?
  16. Thanks for information. I found out Napa has replacement bleeder screws. They have the matching 3/8 nut.
  17. I got my build card for my 28 truck. Looks a lot different then yours. It was all hand writing. Your card looks like a computer type card. Maybe someone has a way to break the code. Hopefully someone will recognize the card.
  18. Napa had replacement bleeder nuts with 3/8's nut. I was able to use these in place of the 10 mm bleeder nuts. I have completed my brake job and things held up well. I started this thread as a "Heads Up" went buying wheel cylinders.
  19. I have original 57 Chevy Sport Sedan. It has the original drum brakes also. Good news is the wheel cylinders and master cylinders are available over the counter at your local Napa Store. The bad news is the bleeder nuts for the fronts are 10 mm metric. I prefer to keep original. Anyone else found this out while replacing your brakes? If so what is a solution? Napa says they have 3/8 bleeder nuts that can be used with this wheel cylinder. They stated the standard brake line fitting connection threads will match the new wheel cylinder.

  21. Dave you had asked about the dimensions of my windshield header. Note my preveious thread. Not sure the DA 124 header is the same as my DA 120. Take a look at my drawing. I made it in a Cad program I have, but I could not change to a Adobe PDF file.
  22. This is a portion of the SF Assessor's summary of dealers. 1915-1922: 1200 Van Ness Avenue. H. O. Harrison occupied the south half of this, the largest auto showroom in San Francisco when it was built, and received the first shipment of Dodge Brothers autos sold in San Francisco in early 1915. He expanded to occupy the entire building in 1921, only to lose the Dodge agency in 1922. This building has been completely altered. 1922-1936: 910 Polk Street. Dodge Brothers autos were sold here by the J. E. French Company. This one- story building covered a large area and was built for French’s occupancy. It has been demolished. 1937-1960: 1835-1849 Van Ness Avenue (the building being evaluated here). Dodge and Plymouth autos were sold here by the J. E. French Company. Integrity is good. 1961-1964+: 1699 Van Ness Avenue. First the J. E. French Company (briefly) and then Van Ness Dodge sold Dodge autos here. Integrity is high. As one can see, 1835-1849 Van Ness is the only building still standing with good integrity where Dodge and Plymouth autos were sold before the 1960s. Not listed above is the ten-story office building at 540- 548 Market Street, where J. E. French was district manager (wholesale) for Dodge Brothers before he opened a retail showroom. Not sure what is at 910 Polk presently. There is no mention of 1040 building in the above summary. Compare photos. The arch features are the same. Could be same building with different street address.
  23. This an example of 1930 1 ton DB Truck. I believe this is the correct plate for these trucks. Notice the small nails in toe plate area. Unfortunately the image is only 58 kb big and is not symmetrical.
