  1. This is my carb off my 29 DB series "E" truck. It has the DA-6. I believe it to be a Model 25 Stewart Carb. Series J-28850 ????
  2. Looks like a "F" series. The frame has a number stamped over the drivers side front spring mount. see attached summary sheet. t.
  3. Looks like a great car. Be sure to place a thread in the "Dodge" portion of this web site.
  4. Check any model A parts stores. Try Sacramento Vintage Ford web site.
  5. I would like to know the names of the sheet metal parts of the seat cushion support box. I would like to confirm that this sheet metal is the same for my 29 DB "E" series 3/4 ton screen side and a Express Cab # 805. Looking at my at pervious post of the parts lists for my truck I can not see the listing for these parts.
  6. Some trucks of the meet. Note the 1929 GB 1 1/4 ton BE model. This is a fresh restoration of exceptional quality. The is from Oakdale CA the home of Van Pelt Fire engines. Red is quite appropriate for this one.
  7. Still looking for information on flareboards definition. I am sure the flareboards term is a carry over from the covered wagon dates. I am asking to determine the difference between the construction of the seat box area of the Express and Panel/Screenside truck. The Screenside has a walk thru area on the passenger side. This is where the lazy seat or folding seat is located. The most obvious difference between the seat area is the seat back cushions. The Express and the Grocers Panel have the same seat back cushion in reference to a note highlighted as a Grocers panel. My Screenside has a drivers side sheet metal drivers seat back and a 6" high a steel kick plate between the folding seat and the bed area. Any pictures would be appreciated.
  8. I have a 29 DB 3/4 ton "E" truck I am restoring. I have a copy of the DB Parts book for the truck and there is reference to the flareboards and flareboards gusset plates. Are these the front and sides of the seat box in the attached picture?
  9. Found this booklet for E series DB truck. hard to see engine. It looks like a Senior 6. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1929-1930-1931-1932-Dodge-Brothers-Truck-Parts-List-1-5-Ton-150-165-wb-RARE-ORIG-/130415460395?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item1e5d5e002b&vxp=mtr
  10. These are later 30's. I have a 3/4 ton DB series E and the rims for mine are bolted to the brakes and the hub.
  11. I found this plate on e-bay. This is my plate for my 29 DB truck. They are quite different. Not sure what is the application of the plate on e-bay. Any ideas? Anyone have a better example of my plate that is legible?
  12. I found this information on the Plymouth web site. I may be useful to someone http://p15-d24.com/topic/34169-build-card-for-my-old-dodge/
  13. Need a frame number. Look above the front spring bracket on the drivers side. The frame number will start with an E, D or a S. The letter will be followed by six numbers. Do you have any other pictures? Best I can see from original photo it does not have brakes in the front. I believe this would be a 27 or older.
  14. I recall an article stating than there was a material placed between the steel body cover plates and the wood frame that reduces the rattling noise. Still looking for material to use for this application.
  15. I am doing the final assembly of my 29 "E" series 3/4 ton truck closed cab. I believe there was a sound deadening material between the outer steel covers and the wood framing on these composite construction cabs. Anybody got any ideas? I will be in San Diego area in a few weeks and will be near Restoration Supply to check with them.

  17. For the 29 the ID plate is located on the passenger side of the toe board. These usually were destroyed by rust. Mine showed Wheelbase, frame # and model name but is not useable. There is a plate on the dash on the pass side on the 29.
  18. Where are you located. I am in Sacramento. I have a 1930 Series "E" 3/4 ton parts truck. Check the Master Parts book and see if my shackles will interchange with yours. I may be able to help you out.
  19. I believe the 4 cylinder engines trucks were "UF" models.
  20. This is not a DA. The distributor of this engine in located on the drivers side of the lower block. DA engine has distributor on top of engine head. If a "F" series this would be a F-30 135 WB or a F-31 165 WB. There will be a lot of wood work in the cab and may be some body cancer in lower doors and cowl.
  21. Saw this truck on E-Bay. It appears to be a "F" series. I did not think they were produced in 1929. See: Dodge : Other Pickups flatbed in Dodge | eBay Motors
  22. I was doing the fantasy bidding and got with in $1,000 on one car. Being that the bid was less than auction price I did not win the fantasy bid. I believe this truck went for over $50,000.
