They use the templates to check the bodies of the cars to make sure the shape of the body conforms. NASCAR had (I am not sure on the new COT cars) multiple template for over shape, quaters, trunk, spoiler. If I remember right I think there was like 14 different templetes.

Those pictures are so cool. The older race cars were the best.I like the template. I worked in NASCAR until 2006.

My father is restoring a 1948 Packard Station Sedan, he is looking for rear side quarter window setting rubbers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I will be looking for 48 Packard sport sedan parts and a 1930-31 Dodge Fender Mount Wing Nut

I forgot it has 44k original miles and I have a Mass. title in my name so no paperwork issues.

1974 Plymouth Barracuda project car. The car was a complete car except for a windshield and rear window. 318, auto console, AC, Rallye hood & Wheels, 8 3/4 rearend, and front disc brakes. The car has brand new floors (except for under the rear seat), new trunk, roof, outer whell housing, quater skin and frame rail. It it completely disassembled and on a rotissere. It has an XV motorsports lower radiator support and inner fender well supports. The car is an automatic but I have an E-body A833 4spd transmission, 4 spd floor hump, and pistol grip shifter. I hate to sell it but due to health reasons and no time, it's just sitting there. Most of the hard work is done. The car is located in North Attleboro Ma and I am asking $5,000.

If anyone knows where he can get one please email me with the info I will foward it to him. I will be at Hershey on Friday so I can pick it up there for him. I have a picture I can email you to see what it looks like. Thanks

I saw the show last night with the Model A being painted chocolate. I must have missed something because they kept saying brining it back to that 40's look. I don't think I will watching this again.
