GREAT COLOR COMBO. The 2-Dr hardtop should be fun!

The color combination is "Pueblo Tan and Shoreline Beige" per the color code and 1954 Chevrolet colors. Mostly original paint. The car received HPOF certification at 2019 Hershey.

I have a 1954 Bel Air with the cast iron powerglide that was fully rebuilt 19 years ago (new planetary gears, seals, reverse lever, the works!). I've owned the car 21 years, but recently over filled the cast iron powerglide automatic transmission for the first time. The car was cold, pushed it out of the garage and filled it without having run it and without the car in neutral. Thinking this was my mistake. The fluid came out of the fill-tube. I realized what I had done after dumping in my 1/2 to 3/4 of a quart. I am hoping that a powerglide expert could offer some suggestions or guide me on what to do. I took it for a very brief drive (less than 1 mile) and heard some noise which i think may have been what is described as torque converter cavitation. I dunno. Never heard the sound so came back home right away. Was thinking if draining fluid and then refilling with proper quantity. And then trying to drive. Anyone out there know the ins and outs of this and can offer suggestions? This car is my baby, and I've seldom had problems with it, and I just don't want to make another mistake that may cost me $$. If you have never been around a cast iron PG or do not have first hand knowledge of such, please refrain from responding. Doug, Agreed. Just came up in conversation with Dad, so thought I would just check. Shouldn't be an issue, I agree.

I check with my father who sent his in really early. His hasn't cleared either. We are thinking they might be waiting until just before the actual show, in the crazy event they have to refund. Just a guess, we do not have proof.

Just a quick question on registration confirmation. I was looking to see if I could confirm registration, but note that my check has not cleared my bank account yet. Has the meet processed the checks, or not yet? My registration was sent in a week prior to the deadline, but hoping the difficulties with the USPS haven't gotten in the way. Thank you. Andy

Thank you Rick. I would only be interested in the rear fenders and am looking for touring/Roadster rear fenders. If you are not interested in separating them out I certainly understand. Here is a link to my wanted ad (I have the fenders listed for trade, but am willing to buy fenders outright, if they are what I'm looking for) With your being relatively close to me, I thought I would inquire.

Wanted to Trade:What I have: A pair of 1924/25 Coupe rear Fenders. They are clean, strait, and older (original?) paint. Some surface rust, no pitting. Have not had body work done to them. Honest 'original' ford steel. Brackets are installed. Have crown to them. What you see in the photos is what I have.What I need: A pair of 1915/16 roadster/touring rear fenders. Ideally similar condition as the coupe fenders I have pictured below. Original paint with minimal surface rust or blemishes is ideal. I prefer a set of fenders that are 'flat' without the cross crown, but will entertain post-1916 'crowned' fenders in the right condition. Thank you for your suggestion... I have bought a few items from them, but at this time, they do not have any rechromed bumpers for sale... they, as with just about all parts places I call, want to sell me the new 1-piece reproduction bumpers... I am looking for an original 3-piece style... thanks again!

I'm looking for a little bit of information if someone is so inclined. I am looking for a great source of NOS or Original Re-chromed bumpers, specifically a rear 3-piece bumper for a 53/54 Chevrolet Sedan. Mine was in a minor fender bender (I was rear-ended).. and now I am looking for a replacement rear bumper to match the rest of the car, and boy is it hard to find! I have called around to just about all the 53/54 parts suppliers I could find and have not had any luck, and was at first holding out to find a real nice original one.. to match my driver condition 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air... but am now realizing that may be a pipe dream... and many folks have offered their good and strait cores to me, but I was hoping to find a bumper with excellent original chrome or an older rechrome job... Does anyone know of any real good quality replaters who sell original or replated original bumpers? I'm thinking my best bet might be to find someone like this as a parts source, not necessarliy someone who deals in only chevy parts.
