car was running fine. parked in garage and put charger on. its a auto charger so should have gone to trickle. I did not disconnect the terminals. Went back a week later and tried to start. turned over fine but did not fire up. also i now have no electical in the whole car. no lights or gauges, nothing. Any sugestions before i start. i know the started is hooked diectly and does not need the key to be turned on. is there some main switch that all electrical goes through that i could of fried? Update Went over there today and found out the cause. The ammeter was kaput. Bypassed it

1946 Canadian Pontiac 6. I wanted a car born the same year that I was. she is one month younger than me Have done quite a bit of mechanical work on it over the past 7 years. The interior and exterior were done prior to buying it. She drives pretty good now. 86,000 miles

I have a 46 Canadian Torpedo 6 4 door sedan. The rear (side) two motor mounts that came with the car seem to have been build out of a bolt and hard rubber bushings stacked on the bolt. The mounts I see listed in Pontiac and Chevy parts book (frame is Chevy) don't seem to be the right size. Is there a specific mount I must use or do I need to add some sort of adapter from mount to frame for it to work? thanks.

thanks Fitz, Sounds like the same thing. How did you fix yours? Weld? Don

I've list this in WTB, but I thought I might get some advice here. I've been looking all over the internet for a harmonic balancer for my 1946 Pontiac Torpedo 4 dr sedan 239 L6 Engine Original Part Number #511498 I can't find anything. It's not the rubber, it has two 1 1/2" chips out of the pulley. They are directly across from each other on the outer edge of the pulley, are half moon shaped and at the deepest point are about 1/2" deep. Couple of questions: Can this be repaired, would this be enough to make the whole car shake when sitting and bringing the RPMs up above 700-800? I
