  1. If anyone is in need of hood or trunk lift supports for their TC feel free to drop me a line. I can be reached at: rick@rdiperformance.com The are brand new (not new old stock ones that have no gas left in them). -Rick www.rdiperformance.com
  2. franc944: Also, make sure the axles they gave you have the correct tone wheel for the ABS. Did you check that before you installed them? Regards, Rick Diogo
  3. Lee, I have the parts you need. Email me at: rick@rdiperformance.com Sorry I don't check this site very often, but happened to log in today. Drop me a line and I'll get you fixed up. Rick Diogo www.rdiperformance.com
  4. 1990 Black Chrysler TC by Maserati for sale with tan top, ginger interior. 16v 5 spd, California Emissions. Thinking about parting this car out if there are no takers. It needs a complete restoration. Seats are pretty shot, paint is shot, dash leather is shot (although I have an asbolutely MINT ginger leather dash for it), and I had the cylinder head rebuilt to like new condition. Bottom end is stock, 67k miles. I would prefer to sell someone the whole car so they can restore it - especially considering the fact this is pretty much the only TC I can find on the TC production numbers info/charts that shows to be a true 1 of 1 built. This TC went from Southern California to South Florida and has been here its whole life. This would be an excellent car to restore, but as I said, I will part it out if need be. Asking $6k for the car the way it sits, or will sell the motor/trans, etc. to someone needing one for their 16v powered TC. (or someone looking to do a conversion) If you are willing to take it with a used head (instead of the freshly rebuilt head I have for it) I will drop the price to $5k. This is a rare opportunity to get a partial (or complete) 16v powered TC with all rust free parts. Email: Rick@rdiperformance.com Pics available for serious parties with cash in hand. I do not want any trades.
  5. It's up on Ebay right now. Item # 190639935629 www.ebay.com
  6. This one is super clean. Royal Cabernet exterior with Ginger interior. 46k miles and in excellent (super clean) condition inside and out. Here are the list of recent modifications and maintenance items done by RDI Performance: Upgraded 52mm Throttle Body Stage II performance engine controller (200hp instead of 160hp) K&N air filter Upgraded BOV (Blow Off Valve) kit All vacuum lines corrected/replaced ABS Accumulator replaced (brand new one...not "old/new" one) Factory infinity speakers replaced Radio replaced with nice AM/FM/CD blue tooth unit Both door glass (window belt moldings) replaced with OE factory brand new parts. Opera windows fixed (were clouded real bad) NOS factory wheel center caps installed (wheels were/are in excellent condition but the center caps were shot...now it has new center caps and the wheels and caps look fantastic) Asking $6,000obo. Car is located in South Florida (Palm Beach County). Zero rust anywhere on this car. And our definition of "Zero rust" in South Florida is different than some others I have seen from the northeast. This is a ZERO rust car. Pics available upon request. Email Rick at rick@rdiperformance.com
  7. Here is a list of some of the parts available including: New antenna (NOS Mopar) - this is a complete assembly not just a mast kit New fuel door release lever (have the exact TC specific one and one that is cheaper but not exact) Nice used (factory) floor mats - ginger (with factory pentatrident logo) many exterior parts (fenders, hoods, side view mirrors, stainless steel trim pieces, you name it) Steering wheels (with or without airbag style, i.e. 89-91) Performance engine controllers for the SOHC Turbo II engine as well as the DOHC 16v engine. Factory replacement controllers available for the 3.0L V6 cars too. K&N air filters Performance plug wire sets Factory valve cover gaskets, o-ring seals, thermostats, etc.. for all three engines. 5spd transmissions (new and used) shift cables shift cable replacement bushings Brand new 16v OE clutch (not aftermarket junk that doesn't fit right) Chances are, if you need it, I have it and in some cases brand new in the OE package from Chrysler. Email with any inquiries to: rick@rdiperformance.com
  8. Up for sale are brand new in the package window belt moldings for the 89-91 Chrysler TC by Maserati. These are in their sealed original packages from Chrysler. If interested email: Rick@rdiperformance.com This is the molding that goes (front to back) on the outside (top) of each door with the soft "felt" material that the door glass rides on when going up and down. On many of the cars out there this molding is either brittle and/or missing chunks of rubber. These new moldings really transform the outside appearance of your TC!
  9. If anyone is interested, I have a number of different parts listed on Ebay for sale. www.ebay.com Type in: Chrysler TC Maserati -fits If you want to see the 16v specific parts type in: Chrysler TC Maserati 16v -fits Or simply send me an email and I'll send you pics of this stuff. Have a couple door panels, rear cargo area speaker cover, some door trim pieces, and a bunch of 16v engine parts (gaskets, etc..) I have tons more stuff I haven't listed yet (takes time to list all this stuff)...so feel free to email me if you have a specific part you're looking for. rick@rdiperformance.com
  10. Sounds like you may have already solved your computer issue, but in case you haven't let me know. I have a good used (tested) SBEC out of a 91 TC. (in fact, I have them for each of the following in stock) 89 Turbo II - auto trans 89 16v - 5spd 90 16v - 5spd 90 V6 - auto 91 V6 - auto I also have performance controllers for the Turbo II and 16v engines and throttle body upgrades and other nice upgrades for the V6 as well. My email: rick@rdiperformance.com website: www.rdiperformance.com
  11. I have them, brand new in the original wrapper. If interested, send me an email.... rick@rdiperformance.com
  12. Chris G. is a really good guy (BTW)...for those of you who don't know him. Chris: Glad to have you on the forum. I try to respond to your text messages as quickly as possible so no worries about bugging me. I know it will "pay off" soon as you'll be buying parts for that rare engine from me!! HAHA I have every seal and gasket you could possibly need for that motor in stock. I even have some good used VC gaskets and a few brand new ones left. Spark plug tube seals - new, intake/exhaust gaskets, cam seals, etc.. you name it I have it all new in the wrapper. If you want to send me the head and both manifolds I can port/polish them for you, correctly set the lash for you, etc.. One thing I'd recommend is changing out those factory valve springs (at least), we'll check the exh guides (notoriously shot on high mileage 16v motors) and of course if it were me, I'd go to the chrome moly buckets, etc.. but that's big $$ (Alan, Pat, Todd, Larry, etc.. can tell you that!) I also have one complete (freshly rebuilt) 16v bottom end sitting here at the shop in case you wanted to send me yours on an exchange basis. Everything was expertly done by me (ring gaps set perfect, bored with factory torque plate, new forged pistons, all new bearings, factory Casar rods, etc..) If there's anything I can do to help let me know. I believe you know Todd, Alan, Pat, Larry and all the rest of the gang. All super knowledgeable about this rare motor as well. 13. Hey gang, I shipped a new 16v valve cover gasket to the company that makes my 16v spark plug tube seals about 7 years ago to get a price on having them remade. The price (at that time) was $10k: a one time set-up (tooling) charge to have the mold made. For that price I'd have to sell each gasket for around $100 a piece and have a commitment similar to what Chris is describing here in this thread. For those of you who know me, I've done this before many times (e.g. spark plug tube seals, thermostat housing gaskets, plug wires, MLS head gaskets, intake gaskets, exhaust gaskets, all new valves - both intake and exhaust, new valve springs, valve guides, custom made lightweight lifter buckets, titanium valve spring retainers, turbo to exhaust manifold gaskets, the list goes on and on. What you see listed above cost me (tens) of thousands to reproduce. The problem is: getting enough people to sign up (and preferrably pre-pay) for their parts. Often times, once you actually shell out your own money to have the parts made and you email back the people who previously "committed" to one or more sets.....you find they either sold the car or can no longer afford to purchase for one reason or another. I'd like to see them remade too. I'm just not in a position to shell out that kind of $$ right now to have the mold created. For those who need new spark plug tube seals for the 16v DOHC engine right now feel free to drop me a line as I have plenty in stock - all brand new. I also have the rod bearings for this engine now as well. For a complete list of the products I keep in stock for the 16v engine - just drop me a line. All the best, Rick www.rdiperformance.com Your Chrysler TC 16v and Turbo II performance headquarters
  14. Hello Bob, Yes I do. Please email me at: rick@rdiperformance.com for price. I need the zip code and city where you'd like it shipped. Thanks, Rick
  15. Leo, Welcome to the club! It sounds like you are making progress with Alan's expert help. As you may know we are a club of members helping members and the TC Club President always emphasizes this in the newsletter(s). I agree with Alan. I'd check the boost hoses (from turbocharger discharge to throttle body in). Any loose clamps will cause a drop in boost (and thus power) and if the cam timing has been played with (as Alan pointed out being a possibility) that will cause a serious lack in power as well. Check your ignition timing (easy to check....just get a timing light) and let us know what you discover. It should be set to 12degrees (see timing window in Trans) The fact that it keeps hitting overboost sounds like a problem with the vac line going to the wastegate actuator....trace it and make sure it's going to and coming from the correct places. Consult your factory service manual and/or underhood vacuum diagram for reference. A point to note: it *is* normal for the car to hit overboost the first few times you nail the throttle after installing a new computer or disconnecting the battery...but only a couple times. If it *keeps* hitting overboost every time you nail the throttle then something else is wrong. Once you get the car running correctly, if you're in the market for some performance parts (or just factory 16v replacement/maintenance parts) let me know and I'll hook you up. Between Larry (at TC parts - based in AZ) and RDI performance (based in FL) we should have everything you'll need. -Rick
  16. Just a quick note to let you guys know I have a few of these housings in stock. Both new in the box and good condition used ones (both are factory OE housings). Perhaps I can help those who need one now. For those of you who can wait, it sounds like Mark and Todd will be able to hook you up once they find someone to remanufacture them. Email me for pricing and availability. I also have the gaskets that go with the housing. There are two of them....one that goes between the Masi head and the housing, and the other one that goes between the two halves of the housing. Additionally, I have the stock (still in original packaging) 192deg thermostats as well as some OE 180degree units. The 180 degree thermostat is best when used in conjunction with the stage II performance computer and BOV kit I offer for the 16v engine. 20. Might be helpful if I include my email address.... Here tis... rick@rdiperformance.com
  21. Thanks for the props Alan!! Alan's been playing with the turbo II engines as long as I have...since 1986/87 when it was first introcuded on the Shelby/Dodge cars. He was under the hood of his 87 GLHS (tinkering) in California......and I was under the hood of our 1986 Shelby Charger and 87 Daytona Shelby Z (turbo II) in Florida. Years later we met and became instant buds. I've got plenty of OE (in the Mopar box) plugs left for the 16v engine. Same thing with the OE thermostat, and lots of other 16v specific goodies. Forgot to mention... I have a really nice BOV kit for the turbo II and the 16v engines. Both kits are totally different so please specify which engine you have when ordering. Everything is made so *anyone* with basic handtools can install. I'm surprised no one has ordered a stage II computer for their TC from me since that last post...these upgraded controllers increase boost from 7psi (on the Turbo II) to 14psi. A 40-45hp increase. (stock is 160hp and with my controllers it bumps it up to 200hp) Driveability in stop and go traffic (and merging onto the freeway) is improved tremendously! On the 16v engine it increases the boost from 11psi at wide open throttle to 14.7psi and as a result provides a 40hp increase. It is recommended that you install the upgraded BOV kit at the time of the upgraded computer because the factory BOV is notorious for leaking boost with the stock engine controller and will almost certainly leak with the upgraded one. Sorry...forgot to mention for those who may not know....BOV stands for "Blow-off valve" and can be found inside your factory airbox. Our kit relocates the BOV to an external location in the engine bay and the new BOV will hold upwards of 25psi before lifting off its seat. All performance parts are safe to run and designed to be used together, however you must run premium fuel at all times. (no 87 or 89 octane) Drop me a line and let's "soup up" your TC!!
