  1. Nice job on the paint!! And, I like that color!!
  2. I thought about that hole in front of the battery. But, I believe it's more for ventilation of the battery gases, more than for cooling the battery. ......... Maybe, it would be okay to close it off. Certainly it would be an improvement to close off other gaps to direct more air into the radiator , and should make the fan more efficient.
  3. :DHooray!! All things being equal, I would've gone with the Buick. But, That's just me liking Buicks. Cadillacs are great cars, too. Congratulations!! And, good luck!!
  4. After the timing was re-set and new plugs/wires, it is running much stronger and cooler. I'm going on the factory gauges for temp and oil. the oil pressure drops down at stop lights. But, it stays on the normal range line. When I place it in Neutral and increase RPM at stop lights, the temp doesn't climb so fast. And, of course the oil pressure stays up high. I'm thinking I'll put in some gauges with numerical reading. But, Where, to put them?...... I've got these things on my list as well. Except, I didn't think of putting the fan closer to the radiator............. Thanks all for your suggestions!
  5. Very Nice!! I hope you drive by the shop that said it couldn't be done!
  6. Welcome!! Scroll down to the Buick section of the forum and, Try re-posting this over in the post war Buick section. Someone there will give you an answer.

  10. Usually it's the gasket between the reservoir and pump. I think CARS Buick parts has a gasket kit. (I need one, too)
  11. I was joking of course!!

  18. Perhaps for this car it means something different. But, to me; Demonstrator was the car the salesmen got as a perq. Also, for the potential customers to test drive. Demonstrator also, were used as loaners for customers' use while a car was serviced or repaired. A program car is another name.
  19. I've seen and heard of special order colors that were "not" available. Blue cars with red interior. Green cars with red interior.Don't say never, don't say always. Never or always is a long time.
  20. put some Marvel Mystery oil in the crankcase and fuel.
  21. That was the question that came to my mind. 'Why would a 26,000 mile car have an engine repaint?'
