  1. Yeah, well so does the Roadmaster. I knew the Special had smaller brakes......
  2. When he said 1" I think he means the linings, the shoes, not the lines. Here's another right here on this forum; http://forums.aaca.org/f118/1955-disc-brake-conversion-kit-297355.html
  3. Here 1955 super master cylinder and brake upgrade questions Anybody switched to a dual reservoir master cylinder? Master Cylinder/Booster options for '57 buicks.
  4. Dad's 1940 Cadillac had one of those. Dad was a big proponent of Marvel Mystery Oil (as am I).

  6. Very Nice! X is for the hydraulic pump for the convertible top. I would doubt the top and window were factory. They are only good for a few years. (edit I reead your post. Sitting snce the early '60s that could be the original top. If that rear glass acme with the car I would bet a dealer add-on.) AACA is good. for your Buick documentation BCA is better.
  7. I hope it works out for you. I would be interested in the out come, me being in Alabama where no car built before 1975 is issued a title. Considering what some have said about shipping overseas requiring a title. I wonder what would happen if an Alabama car was sold to an overseas buyer sans title. Then the non titled car was in Mobile Alabama for loading on a ship. What then would be Customs reaction?
  8. NO!! Do NOT use a title from another car. What you have done so far has been in good faith. Using a title from another car would cause more trouble than you have now. I'm not a lawyer, but, that sounds very close to fraud.
  9. That picture was taken in March 2009. Our biggest snow fall is in March and April. But, measurable snow only once every three years.
  10. Hi Johnny! Welcome! Very Nice '60 Buick you have! as others have said, Our post war Buicks have our own forum here on the site And DJohn , when I saw Johnny's car, I immediately thought of your beautiful '60 Buick!
  11. Alabama has not issued titles for any vehicle built before 1975 .
  12. I went through two reproduction DELCO batteries. They were both junk. If, the car sat for more than three days I had to jump it off to get it to crank. I put in a NAPA battery, and I have not had the booster pack or the jumper cables on it since. I can let it sit for weeks in the cold now and it will crank with out a battery boost.... Judges are more concerned about the added chrome under my hood than the "proper" battery anyway....
  13. I think Willie has it. And another thing when I look at the photo; It seems that the intake manifold would act as a heat sink. Cooling the other studs.
  14. Very Nice!! But, Four holes '54 and earlier = Roadmaster Great Pictures!! All of them!!
  15. Perhaps, It would be easier to remove the draft tube, and insert a grommet into that opening...........
  16. Most interesting!! Sitting at a stop light today as I watched the vapor from my crankcase waft around the car next to me, I thought; I need a PCV system. Mine is a late '55 with breather/oil filler caps in each valve cover. For mine; I thought to plug the bottom of the road draft tube. Tap the elbow of the road draft tube for the PCV valve and use the wiper connection as you have. I haven't gone as far as you have. Not so far as to even buy any parts, yet. So, I need to thank you for showing a practical way to get it done:cool:
