Sorry I don't have an answer Here's some discussion of late ... http://forums.aaca.org/f115/dynaflow-transmission-389641.html

The bolts holding the the pipe to the manifold are bad to be stuck (all that heating/cooling cycles). Application of penetrating oil is in order (PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench, Kroil). Spray it in the bolt hole 24 hours before you try to loosen it.

Merci por le photos !! Ce bon !! bonnes voitures ! (Je ne pas parlais Francais) in the year 1961, My Father bought new a Renault Dauphine. He liked that car and drove it many miles , Mille Bourne And also when I was a child, a neighbor had a Peugeot (comme en le photo) I like very much the Citroen 'D' !!! The color is perfect !! I would like to have a Citroen 'D' or maybe a Citroen SM !! That blue Citroen would look good next to a Blue Buick, no?

Keep an eye on it for sure. If it just in the water jacket, and not near the crank, cam or head, it might be alright

Good call John ! If you find as John says the heat valve loose, I would recommend removing it altogether. At our Latitude (Athens and Birmingham) , the Manifold heat valve is not required. It aids in warm up, but, I think it can cause problems. Stuck closed or loose....

Raise your hand if you drove at least one old Buick this weekend
bhambulldog replied to JohnD1956's topic in Buick - General
I got a new set of spark plugs in anticipation of driving around yesterday just for the sake of driving... It rained all day... So, I drove the F250 instead -
The lower compression might be from the new pistons from the rebuild. Perhaps the tops are dished. Or, the head gasket may be thicker. Or, both. Consider the 10 lb leeway, the piston at 130 is the only one outside the 10 lb margin. The battery won't have an effect on compression psi. You would get the same compression whether you turned it with the battery, by hand or it's own engine power

Technically speaking; the valve covers with breathers are not supposed to have the decals. And then again, the chrome is incorrect anyway.... But, as Lamar alludes, No one could've convinced my Dad his valve covers weren't originally chromed,,,, I bought another set of Valve covers (painted) to replace those chromed covers ... But I don't have the heart to take Dad's Chrome off the engine.

Good Advice !! My experience; I've been running Pertronix for 15 years. The Pertronix has out lasted a generator and a regulator. Two years a go I replaced a failed generator and voltage regulator. I haven't touched the Pertronix since it went in in 2000 I hate the ethanol, too. Marvel Mystery oil (4 ounces every tankful) seems to help.

Dynaflow undeservedly gets a bad rap. It is in reality a very durable transmission. And not as sluggish as the reputation that it has been wrongly given Who's going racing, anyway? There is not a smoother transmission

You've jogged my memory Could be fuel filter.,, 15 years ago after sitting dormant for many years we gave the Roadmaster a rebuilt carburetor, Pertronix, new plugs, new wires, new fuel filter. The sediment in the fuel tank clogged the filter, resulting in a VERY lean mixture...

My guess would be timing or carburetor or both. I would check the timing first

My Dad always got downright angry when he saw a customized car. He would fume and ask me, "Why would somebody #@*~ up a good car like that ?" I would reply, "Dad it's easier to customize it than to restore it. One doesn't have to worry about what is correct, just fix it like they like it. And that's also why they make chocolate and vanilla...."
