Lamar, Good to talk to you, the 38 is fine. Pete is going to get it running for me and I will have it painted. The 41 above is still my favorite but the 38 is a close second.

47 is my favorite year, still own a few please message me. I own 11 Straight Eight Buicks. I did not own the 42, it was a very nice car and sold at auction for $4300.00! I did not have $43.00 dollars at the time!

Thank you for your kind words, Mr. Harwood. I am the owner of the car and Pete is selling it for me. I own three of these but by far this is the best one. I first saw a 42 Limited in 1974 and knew I had to have one Someday. Now I am in poor health, and I am selling my collection.

It is a 40 Buick 80 series limited sedan. In 1939 the Roadmaster was the 80 series. In 1940 the roadmaster became the 70 series sedan with the super body and a bit longer front end for the big motor. I have owned these cars all my life and I still own 12 Buicks.

I suggest that you verify "your" information more carefully before making your "I Spy" observations. Many like you seem to have a lot to learn about Buicks. The only cars that had a pedal that said (Power Brakes) were cars that had Power Brakes; a Treadlevac system that was complicated. Many 1954 to 1956 Buicks were produced without them and had a (plain Brake pedal). I also own another 55 Century Tourback sedan that has a plain brake pedal. Additionally, you missed another difference in the photos; it has a 1954 radiator. There are a few more differences if you choose to look carefully.

That is why you should not listen to a wise man! Or someone who thinks they are a wise man! By the way your old 38 century is alive and well and doing fine.
