Ride is not rough, just firmer. I didn't trim bumpstops. It doesn't seem to bottom out. I ordered my springs for "looks" not performance. It is a little bouncy in front. I have Bilsteins on back order for it. (3 months!)
Set screw is very tight. I know there is a bushing that needs replacing. Is the one listed in CARS catalog the one to use? It is also listed in the Corvair sectIon. Maybe it is one of the few interchangeable GM parts on the Riv?
If you strain any brand fluid through dryer sheets it will work. (Has to be Bounce). However I bought an electronic flasher at O'Reilly for $12 and change. I can now hear the blinkers and curiously, the dash indicator lights are brighter.
Has anyone tried a "loud" flasher? Mine is barely audible and the signals don't always cancel. So I'm the old guy in the old car going down the road with my signal on!
I just ordered four Bilstein shocks for my 63 they were normally $87 dollars apiece, 10% off through Labor Day at CPP in California. $313.20 plus shipping. Disc Brake, Steering and Suspension Products for classic Chevy and Ford cars and trucks
What did those of you using the Rostra universal kit do for speed sensor? My buddy Jay/da Tinman who will be installing said it doesn't come with a speedo cable interface but a speed sensor that mounts on trans tail shaft yoke(?) (jump in and correct me Jay if I misstated.) and it is difficult to access that area.
I'd be content not to deal with a cable and just manually adjust it. An interesting side note; I ran across these on eBay. The mount behind the mirror glass. I don't know how they shine through.
