There are lots of other clues....... but Loco would have never terminated the metal in such a sloppy way. Look at other real roadsters.

I do not was originally built as roadster. Many reasons. First is the panel between the body and the running board. Does not meet flush with rear fender........ probably from a touring. Johnny

Some of us believe that those dust pans can contribute to fires, especially with updraft carbs that release spare gas when the cars don't start. The collection of gasoline and oil in these pans and the occasional backfire can be a disaster. Some early cars have the flywheel cut with fan blades and had no fan. In those cases the pans were necessary to get the air flow through the radiator. Johnny

I, for one, am happy to open my mind to what others have to say, especially when they are thinking about ways to save or improve our hobby. I might not always agree with them and I suppose they might sometimes offer their thoughts in the "wrong" forum, but I appreciate the efforts. Johnny

1927 Kissel Gold Bug going on sale at Mecum
jcrow replied to ron hausmann's topic in "Not Mine" Automobiles For Sale
I have searched the Mecum website without luck. Could you ask the owner to contact me if the car is not going to auction. I am interested. Or maybe he will post what sale it will appear at if it is going to auction. jcrow22006@aol.com I did email Mecum and they were very little help. That would irritate me were I the seller. Johnny -
Well, I am no expert, but I have a lot of era photos from the twenties. Most seem to show new cars photographed in the Oakland area. A surprising number not only have white walls, but have double whitewalls, that being white on the chassis side. I suppose that the cars photographed tended to be the flashier ones..... but they often have whitewalls.

I would wait to see how the bidding goes. Long time left. Just brought home the smaller version today.

Might mean that I have to sell the one off Fisher

Engine 700809. 1930. Originally built as a roadster. Wrong trunk, so I need lo-boy. Coming from Academy of Arts San Francisco. Sold about 11/12 years ago through RM at Arizona.

Chris, I assume that the one that hangs at bottom of dash is not correct like my 32 has ? I do have one almost new that is a duplicate of that one. By the way I did buy a 30 roadster. Johnny

I do not. I have about a thousand early photos from glass negatives. Many were taken in the San Francisco/Oakland area. I just posted a few in the American Underslung site. Johnny

PS. Cunningham made every piece of their cars, from body to engine to the bolts that held them together.
