Both my wife and I visited the Walter P Chrysler Museum in 2009 and we were both left with loving memories of what we refered to as hallowed ground. One question that I do have is whether the 2014 DB centenial celebrations were going to be held there as we intend comming back from Aust to those celebrations and were hoping to visit the museum again Ron and Kerry

Hi Mike, It is great to hear that you had a great time rallying around France. I was only thinking of you and the rally last week and I was going to drop you a line to see how everthing went. Well now I dont have to And its good to know that the 2251 performed faultlessly Cheerio Ron MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL DB OWNERS IN THE UK

Shame on you Jason That badge belongs to the best Dodge Brothers that was ever made In answe to your Queery I removed mine useing a wooden drift slightly smaller than the hole that the badge clips into tapping gentley with a mallet Make sure you dont drop the badge onto a hard surface as the porcelain can chip quite easily Hope this helps Ron

What a great buy,You have one nice car there.I have never seen the mudguards and vallance panels painted two-tone before looks great.I can't help you with parts availability as I am in Aust but I had no problems with cups and dust boots for my wheel cylinders. The master cylinder needed new piston and cylinder which I had made.I was able to buy nos brake linings as well and i still have one set to do another four shoes. Are you going to be in Detroit for the 100 year celebrations If so it would be great to catch up with another 2249 series owner.I own an Australian bodied 2249 tourer Ron

My Grand-dad nicknamed me tail light when I was a nipper.Recons I wasn't bright enough to be a stop light
-
Tony, I have colected several tail lights and I have come accross both, some with reflectors and some without. Is this another DB mystery? Ron

Ray if possible DO NOT use PTFE tape go for a Locktite type thread sealer instead. Any bits of thread tape that become disloged can cause havoc to needle valves and jets Any Ray this is a car your repairing is not a plumbing job I like the job that you have done on the vac tank and the cast brass tops are not common. I do have some good orininals if you want to go that way Cheers Ron
