  1. This will probably go to someone in the lowrider/bomb scene!
  2. I have a '41 Special in about the same driver-level shape as this, and I know they are about the same in many regards, but I would trade mine for this. I've said it before but I am a sucker for a '40s GM fastback.
  3. I think the script says Dynaflow. But the Dyna in '48 was only a Roadmaster option, and you can tell here by the missing clutch pedal, the shift selector knob being pointy rather than round (manual trans). The steering wheel center says Roadmaster, and I think the trunk emblem says Dynaflow as well.
  4. Wow, Roadmaster with a Dynaflow! I always wondered with these Buicks that have a visor...after they install it, what happens to the center post radio antenna? If the visor has the center support bracket, that would prevent the antenna from rotating up or down, correct?
  5. I had a 450 that was great fun, but I bet this engine/trans combo would be far more zippy. The grey market look was so elegant.
  6. To Deac's point above, these '40s GM fastbacks are really popular with the bomb/lowrider subsect. The bomb aficionados usually keep theirs pretty stock and then bolt on lots of era-relevant accessories (not for everyone but at least they can be removed with ease). Great color inside and out; I don't think this one will be for sale long!
  7. I don't know if it's priced too high or what's correct/incorrect but this one really speaks to me. The only nitpicky thing for me is the radio delete (I am one of those folks who plays era-appropriate music in my old cars)...
  8. To be fair, other for-sale forums (a traditional hot-rod one in particular) often have ads for far less car for far more money...
  9. The punk band The Didjits did a song about a car like this. "Big Bad Gold Eldorado"
  10. Someday I will own one. Gotta save up the pennies first.
  11. I would buy this just for the opportunity to dress like Ace Rothstein and drive around in it.
  12. I'm building one of these, very similar. If it weren't on the other side of the country I'd definitely be interested
  13. I know nothing about these but my first reaction was that it's similar to the car Homer was looking at in Crazy Vaclav's Palace Of Automobiles.
